Here comes Adam Lambert! Of all the performances that were on last night's AMAs, Adam's seems to be the most memorable and most talked about. He went all out - from making out with one of his dancers, grabbing one of the lady's crotch and making lots sexual advances towards several of his dancers.

But if you listen to the lyrics, he's just acting out what his song is about! Not sure many people can answer "yes" to his question, "Can you handle what I'm about to do?" He definitely got viewers attention, but not sure how this will impact his career. Seems to work for Lady Gaga, we'll see how pans out for Adam.

What does a swashbuckling, dreadlock wearing pirate have in common with a leather clad man with scissor hands and The Mad Hatter?
That would be People Magazines 'Hottest Man of the Year', Johnny Depp.

Who would have ever thought, that the teen idol, who once played a detective on TV, would be the Hottest Man? Given the parts he has taken, and his uncanny ability to 'become' and transform into his character, it is no wonder that so many people like him. He is also known for taking parts that may not start out so glamorous, but always seem to end up favorably remembered.

I'm glad he was named Hottest Man of the year, but I am more glad that he is an actor who is willing to take on roles that are sometimes not the easiest characters to portray and does it with finesse.

Tomorrow is the official opening all over the country for second movie in the 'Twilight' trilogy, 'New Moon'. There are quite a few theaters that have premiers at 12:01am Thursday night. Many fans have already bought tickets, and are eagerly awaiting the doors to open.

In the first movie 'Twilight' we got a look at the story and characters, and by the end most were wanting more. At that time, the making of the next book into a movie was up in the air, with problems between the book writer and the movie folks. Luckily, agreements and terms were made, and the next book went into production. I think lots of fans let out a sigh of relief, and began watching for anything new coming out on the progress of this new movie.

As fans, most of us have read the books, and had formed our own ideas about what the characters would be like. Once the first movie was out, we were able to visually connect with those characters, and the popularity of those actors increased dramatically.

Now with this movie, we are introduced to another group of characters, who will continue to bring more depth and excitement to the screen.

I know I've already made my plans for Friday night along with all the other "Twilight" fans. I will be at those doors, at my favorite theater at the appointed hour.

Sunday night as I was flipping through channels, I happened across a miniseries on AMC called "The Prisoner". The original show was a TV series in the '60's and had some strange twists and turns. This recreation of that show focuses on a village where inhabitants all live in a Utopia like environment and the main characters are known by numbers, not names. There are plenty of twists and turns and you can't help empathizing with the characters. The show starts out with the arrival of "6", into the village. He doesn't remember any of the people in it or how he even got there. The village is in the desert, with nothing around it as far as the eye can see. He spends his time looking for ways to escape.

Here's the problem though...is there somewhere to escape too? Is this place as wonderful as the people there want you to believe? And that's what draws you in. The second significant character so far is "2", who runs the place. He truly believes in his Utopia but doesn't reveal why "6" is there, or what plans he has for him. As we meet some of the inhabitants, it really does seem like an ok place. You can't help but wonder what's "6's" hurry to get back to where ever he thinks he came from!

The show will span a over 3 nights and run two episodes each night from 11/15 to 11/17. Don't worry though, if you missed the first night, there will be recaps, and trust me, you'll need them! For more on this series, go to AOL Television

What do Darius Rucker and Barbara Mandrell have in common? Well, they are both CMA winners from last night. Darius Rucker won New Artist of the year, and Barbara Mandrell was inducted into the Country Hall of Fame.

The show last night had most county music lovers in front of their TV's clapping and singing along with their favorites. Folks wanted to see if the group or person they were rooting for would win that most coveted award, be it favorite country male vocalist, favorite group, or country entertainer of the year. Today, all over the U.S. people are celebrating Veterans Day, a day that we recognize and applaud all our armed forces and the great job they have done, past and present. The day is also recognized in other countries as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day, and falls on the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. November 11th was designated by President Woodrow Wilson to be called Armistice day in the U.S. and in 1938 an act was approved in Congress making it a legal holiday, to celebrate the soldiers who fought in WWI.

It wasn't until 1953, that Congress amended the resolution to replace "Armistice" with "Veterans" the holiday has been known as Veterans Day ever since, and now encompasses all the veterans from the armed forces.

There are tributes, parades, luncheons, and exhibits to honor distinguished veterans. It is a chance to once again let them know how much we appreciate all they have done to preserve our liberty.

A ceremony is held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA with a color guard made up of members from each of the military services. They honor the past heroes with a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

I think this is one of our better holidays that allows everyone a chance to reach out and celebrate our victories with those who have helped uphold our principles and values as Americans.

I was so excited when I saw one of my favorite country singers, Taylor Swift was going to be hosting one of my all time shows, Saturday Night Live. I couldn't wait to tune in, and it was funny! SNL has such a way of poking fun at hot topics, and getting a reaction out of most people. Even if the reaction is an ooh, or an argh, they still manage to make you laugh.

SNL first debut live in NYC in October 1975, with their familiar tag line of "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night", and has been a hit ever since. From that show sprung a lot of great comedic talent, like Chevy Chase, Dana Carvey, Will Farrell, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Gilda Radnor, Jane Curtin, Tina Fay and many more. Even the musical talent on the show manage to impart something unique when they perform, as well as become part of the cast for that segment. Taylor debuted a new song, and had great fun with skits spoofing 'Twilight' and 'The View'.

As SNL gets older, they seem to still have the ability to bring in fresh new talent with great ideas to make the show even more popular. They always pull in relevant, current, and timely events for their skits.

Can't wait for next week's show to see what new twist they come up with on the latest current events!

Now that the holiday season is approaching, it's time to give some thought to your holiday gifts.

Yesterday, November 3rd was election night in a number of U.S. States. Some of these races held historic significance. In New Jersey, until last night, the party in power, in the White House hasn't won the Governor's office since 1985. Republican Chris Christie turned the tides by ousting New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine.

In Virginia the party in power in the White House hasn't won the Governor's office since 1977. Republican Bob McDonnell's victory in the Virginia governor's race over Democrat Creigh Deeds was a major upset for the Democrats and has secured the Republicans that much sought after seat.

One of the biggest races last night was special election in the 23(rd) District of New York where Democrat, Bill Owens, grabbed the seat from the Republican Party. The Democrat, have not held this seat in the house for more than 100 years.

In Maine the voters weighed in on about same-sex marriage. Ohio voted on allowing casinos in the state. There were also a large number of cities that selected new Mayors.

Most races were won on local and state issues and on the candidates in each race. Voters went to the poles to vote on issues and said the President was not necessarily a factor in how they voted. Exit polls show a lot of independent voters who voted for Obama actually voted Republicans this time around.

One thing is for certain, this race has brought to the forefront voters opinions and directions on how they want this country run and what candidates they felt could help Obama turn things around.

Today in the news, I see we have had another recall on food - this time it's ground beef from a farm in upstate NY. The CDC called for this recall after 16 people were sent to the hospital, and 2 others died, from suspected E. coli contamination.

The contaminated meat was shipped to several markets from Maine to North Carolina, and was packaged in various ways, such as meatballs, hamburgers, and combination mixes, as well as re-marketed for sale in different packaging and under different brands.

E. coli can cause a variety of symptoms, such as severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, and in some cases, severe blood and kidney problems. Some of the symptoms are common to other illnesses, so if you're concerned, check with your doctor.

Make sure if you buy any fresh or frozen foods, you store and prepare them according to package directions, and always wash your hands and cooking utensils thoroughly after handling and preparing food.
