To imagine that this guy should have been behind bars when he committed this malicious crime. Maurice Clemmons had a large rap sheet not only in Washington state but in Arkansas too! He was so proud of his crime that he told several people the day before to make sure they watched the news the following day because he was going to make the news by killing some cops. He was very angry and troubled when he was saying this. I guess those folks didn't believe he would actually do it because no one reported it to authorities until after the crime was committed.

Four officers sat in a coffee shop writing up reports. You would think this part of their job was the "safest" of what they deal with out on the streets every day. Sadly two of the four officers were shot execution style. Third officer stood up and was shot. The fourth one, heroically fought and shot Clemmons but was then killed outside the coffee shop. This last cop may have saved the lives of others from the community by injuring Clemmons.

The saddest part of all this is the family that was left behind. Of the four officers, they left behind nine children. Thoughts and prayers are with the families and the community that lost four fine officers. - By Maria Tickle
