The Video game market is phenomenal! In 2001, over 9.8 billion was spent on video games in the US. Most video game consoles have a higher definition picture than alot of TV's! They also are multi-functional, not only can you play video games, you can also watch movies. Game consoles and games date back to the 1970's with the introduction of the Magnavox Odyssey, which predated the Atari Pong home consoles, and games introduced like Battleship and Centipede which were played for hours. Today there are several systems to choose from, Xbox 360, Sony PS 2 and 3, Nintendo Wii, along with a host of smaller hand held versions, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP as well as hundreds of games that are released faster than anyone can blink! There are games for little folks, teens, adults and even senior groups. They range from very easy to very difficult to play, and some are even interactive.
There is such a variety that I couldn't imagine anyone ever being bored!
