Dieting is hard! Quick diets don't help you lose weight long term and exercise regimens are hard to stick to. Maybe diet pills really are the best way how to lose weight effectively. Check out our list of the top searched diet pills on AOL Search.Top Searched Diet Pills on AOL Search:
1. Hydroxycut
2. Alli
3. Phentermine
4. Hoodia
5. Slimquick
6. Meridia
7. Xenical
8. Relacore
9. Lipovox
10. Metabolife
Hydroxycut made it to the top of our most searched list, but I wouldn't recommend taking it. The FDA issued a recall due to the pills links to liver damage and one death. Following the FDA warning, it spiked on our list!
I can see why Alli made it towards the top of the list. According to their customer testimonials, this pill, along with diet and exercise, can increase weight loss up to 50 percent. However, Alli is known to have some nasty side effects as well. According to their website, you will pass something "that looks like the oil on top of a pizza" out your body. Are the benefits worth the costs?
Did you know phentermine received FDA approval back in 1959? It's still a top searched diet pill today. It's strange to think people have been using phentermine for so long.
I have to say, I'm a little skeptical of all these miracle pills and I wonder if they really lead to healthy weight loss. There are so many diet pills that out there that I question how safe they really are. Some of these diet pills I have actually heard of like Hoodia and Hydroxycut. But what exactly are Meridia and Lipovox? Lipovox, number 9, is made of extracts from superfoods like flaxseed, barley, green tea, acai and more. The antioxidants from these superfoods are great for your body.
Yes, popping a diet pill does sound much easier than counting your calories or exercising, but do they really work? Have you tried any of these diet pills? And if so, what worked for you?

i've tried all types of diet pills with no luck and bad side affects, i started on the Hoodia liquid drink that helped suppress my appetite which is mainly my problem and had some good results until i noticed i was loosing my hair, it was almost like i was on chemotherapy. then Alli came out. i was skepical at first but decicded to give it a try, yes there is oily discharge but it can be controled by not eating to much oily fatty foods. i have been losing the weight with out exercise which is good becuse i'm not an exercise freak. so if you're like me Alli is the one.

I have been using Phentermine for over 5 months now and I have had great success. I am eating small healthy meals and exercising. I do have to say that I worry about side effects even though I feel fine. Has anyone used this and what are your thoughts?

With the FDA taking away all of these diet supplements, it is just helping grow Americas obesity problem. How many people do you honestly believe can take time off of work, and lose money, to go see a doctor and fork out even more money. Then, at the same time the FDA is helping the government take our money because we have to have surgeries and operations to fix the problems we acquired from being over weight. Then finally we have to by all of these high priced presciption meds just to keep from becoming obese or getting that way again!

I have taken Hydroxycut Hardcore, the one that they say is responsible for the death of the young man. I have taken it months at a time on several occations and still have not had any complications. Unfortunately, people do not read the warning labels and ignore the dosage charts on the bottles. People always think more is better and that is what gets them in trouble and ruins a great weight loss product like Hydroxycut Hardcore. It actually worked for me, I lost 30 lbs. in four months which included a good diet and cardio excercise.

I used Phentermine 2 1/2 yrs ago and went from a 14 to a 4. You just aren't as hungry and have tons of energy for the gym. Back then it was about $100 for 90 days, now that I had my daughter and want it again it's hard to find. It's also about $300 for 90 days. I've had friends try to get it and they took the money and never sent the pills. If I can get it again, I would in a heartbeat. It definitely works!

I just bought a bottle of Hydroxy Cut at Walmart. I read about the effects, but I thought that there was another evaluation and safe to use again. Is Walmart being irresponsible for placing it back on their shelves?
Carb Blocker response: There are a couple of good products found at your local vitamin shop. Chitosan is a good product to secure fats. There is a product called "Cheaters" that is a combination of chitosan and a carb blocker.

I used hydroxycut extreme from January 2006 to May 2006 and lost 80lbs. I was in great shape and the hydroxy cut product was a great help. Its a shame that they were basically forced to take it off the market. Its ridiculous, 17 people may have had a problem with it. Out of what, 10 million. I'll take those odds anyday. Those people probly had liver problems BEFORE the hydroxycut.

I swear by Fen-Phen. In 1997 I lost 50 pounds in 5 months without intentionally dieting or exercising. My doctor checked me every 2 weeks. I had more energy so I walked more, had more strength in my legs and felt much more in control of my life. I stopped taking it when it was taken off the market. I never had a chance to lose the last 10 pounds or work on maintaining my weight loss. Stress, injury and other factors slowly interfered with my new lifestyle which, when combined with the loss of the miraculous diet pills slowly put the pounds back on plus 25. There are so many medications on the market that are more harmful than misused Fen-Phen yet they remain available. I want to see Fen-Phen brought back. More people were successful losing weight using those pills than any other diet product, ever. There should be a way to make it available with no liability to the manufacturer. If I take it I know I need to use it with a physician's supervision. Some people will abuse it no doubt but it shouldn't be banned because some people are irresponsible. It will harm a small percentage of people. So do viagra and aspirin. Yet we'll never see either of those products removed from the market. Bring back Fen-Phen.

Is anyone REALLY reading this? On every 'drug' listed here it says: 'with diet and exercise'. SO, tell me, why would anyone want to spend money on pills to put in your mouth? If diet and exercise are the answer, we don't need these pills. Jenny Craig: You pay for the food packages they send, but add 'real food'. Same thing with most of the other 'diet foods delivered to your door' concepts. What about Weight Watchers? Well, you pay for food there too. Many find it easier to buy the 'Weight Watcher' packages than to try to figure out what they need on their own. The medications that actually turn off the 'appetite signals' in the brain have been removed from the market. WHY? Because a few people abused them and a few people died from using them for longer than prescribed periods of time. THE BOTTOM LINE? Everyone who could benefit from those medications are now left with little in the way of alternatives that really work unless you want to have major surgery which ALSO carries a risk. ME? I think I'd rather take the medications no longer available, work with my doctor, follow his/her advice, check in frequently for tests, exercise more and as in the past with many people......they lost the weight! Same thing happening now with Tylenol ingredient, Acetaminophen: People abuse it and take too much and it may/can cause liver damage. So, our government says we are not smart enough to make our own decisions.....and BAM ...away it goes. The same can be said of Aspirin. Too much of it can cause damage. So it is WITH ALL MEDICATIONS: TOO MUCH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE. When are we going to take back our rights? I know several people who are overweight. They don't eat a lot, the do get some exercise, but they just never seem to lose the weight. Hormones, stress, depression, thyroid conditions and a host of other things are the reasons. Our government has seen fit to deem them not worthy of being given a chance to lose weight (taking medications that work) and instead, several of them have spent thousands (and in some cases gone into debt) for stomach surgery. NOW who benefits from that? Good night all and I wish you all good luck with your weight loss.

It is a fact that we as a country are FAT. We are all looking for something to reverse the curse. I did the trial offer for Acai. WOW - was that a rip off. They tell you that you can cancel during your trial period but their contact information was invalid. They charged my card $88.00 for a month's supply. I never got a hold of them. Please don't fall for the "trial offer". It took me several weeks to get my money back from my bank's efforts.

I have used Phentermine for several years, off and on, with wonderful results! I have kept the weight off because this drug makes you not hungry at all, thus encouraging healthy eating. It's a controlled drug, therefore you need a prescription to obtain it, and you must have a BMI of at least 27. I used to be able to get it online, by filling out a detailed questionaire about my health and other meds taken, but now the FDA has stepped in and prohibited it's sale online, without a doctors prescription. The only time I would order it was if and when my BMI would reach 27 or higher, and I've tried websites that claim to have the original Phentermine, but when I order it and try it, it's not the same. Probably sugar pills or something...lol.
Anyone know where on the web I can obtain Phentermine? The REAL Phentermine?

At one time in my life I tried Phen/Fen for weight loss, and although it was somewhat beneficial; overall, it really didn't work too well. I used to be a normal weight in my teens but once I hit 25, it all went downhill. Unfortunately, between the ages of 25 and 40, my weight did NOT ever go below 150 lbs, and I'm 5'4" so that's a pretty
solid frame! Then came a period of unemployment for both my husband and me.
We were both collecting checks and we both ballooned up to hefty weights. I made it all the way up to 210 pounds! About 6 months of collecting unemployment and fat I finally got a job
at a local grocery store standing all day working as a cashier, and also, lifting heavy items and exercising in a weird but interesting way, I guess I was
exercising! I went from 210 pounds, down
to 120 pounds. That's almost 100 pounds, and that's like a 4th grader or something quite comparable!
