Diamonds are a girl's best friend, and so are all other kinds jewelry. Let's face it, one of the funnest parts of getting dressed is dressing yourself up with stunning jewelry.
I tend to live by the Coco Chanel theory of less is more, so I prefer to wear fewer but more unique pieces jewelry, like antique jewelry. The fashion icon advised everyone to take off one thing before leaving the house. By trimming down on your accessories, your whole ensemble stands out more and it allows your jewelry to make a louder statement.
I don't have a specific designer loyalty, but I decided to see which jewelry brands and designers were most popular among our users. Check out our top searched list.
I'm not surprised that Tiffany jewelry took the number 1 spot on our list. Their timeless jewelry collection has been a favorite for generations. In comparison to Tiffany, David Yurman jewelry is fairly new, but still wildly popular. His colorful collections of bracelets and rings are immediately recognizable for their unique aesthetic.
Number 4 on our list has put a new twist on an old classic. Pandora reinvented the charm bracelet with fashionable beads, jewels and charms.
Silpada jewelry (number 6) is sold exclusively through a dedicated group of representatives. Instead of shopping in stores, reps will hold a party in your home for you and your friends to browse their catalog and sample their jewelry.

I've had the best luck with Jude Frances jewelry because for every occasion, I can just add an earring charm to my wife's collection... She loves them, wears them and I win!

I find great bargains at Overstock.com and truerj.com I don't pay big prices for my jewelry, but I do love it! Designer jewelry is over priced. Why make the designers rich and you poor?

TACORI Jewelry is my favorite! My Wedding ring and band are Tacori along with some earings. Classic and classy...not overstated.

As an avid jewelry collector, I love Sonia B. and LeVian. Both are resonably priced, have all different pricepoints and use beautiful, quality stones.

What about Asprey, Graff and Van Clef & Arpel; neither of them made the cut; that's very shocking.

As a jewelry designer who sells directly to the public on my website and through stylists and image consultants, I know what a ferocious mark-up retailers charge - over 400% the cost of goods. I buy the finest quality pearls and gemstones wholesale and by cutting out the middleman pass the savings directly to my clients. You are paying for Tiffany or Mikimoto brand. The same quality is available wholesale if you know what dealers to use.

I found a small Vintage/Antiques Store that just opened this last weekend, Memorial Day, on 17B in Monticello,New York, that has some of the most unique pieces of jewelry I've come across. The proprietor's, Joe & Amy Kuperblum, are delightful people, knowledgeable as well, and will go to the trouble of finding pieces in their collection that they think you'll be interested in. The name of the store is In2Retro.

I too love Loree Rodkin, Erica Courtney and Pepi - If you are into jewelry, why not start making your own and save some $$$$ -

I'm surprised Lagos jewelry wasn't on the list. It is easily recognizable and beautifully made. Like Yurman, it is large, semi-precious stones in wonderfully designed settings. When you are wearing Lagos and meet another woman wearing Lagos, you can be sure a conversation will start! When did you get it, what collection is it from, etc etc.

These jewelers are very expensive because they've been in the business a long time and have built up a very good reputation. Not everyone can afford them. I shop at a jeweler that can equal anyone of them in any form of the business. He has the most beautiful pieces that he designs himself, it's unbelievable and we're fortunate to have him in our neighborhood. His name is Sam Buccieri and he's in Vernon, N.J.

Alexis Bittar is another one that was left from the list. It is really a matter choice. Maybe jewelry, our bodies or whatever as along a we are happy and not infringing on another.

Why are people not shopping at H. Stern? You are missing fantastic collections - I shopped both in Rio and NYC. and loved the experiences.
