Diamonds are a girl's best friend, and so are all other kinds jewelry. Let's face it, one of the funnest parts of getting dressed is dressing yourself up with stunning jewelry.
I tend to live by the Coco Chanel theory of less is more, so I prefer to wear fewer but more unique pieces jewelry, like antique jewelry. The fashion icon advised everyone to take off one thing before leaving the house. By trimming down on your accessories, your whole ensemble stands out more and it allows your jewelry to make a louder statement.
I don't have a specific designer loyalty, but I decided to see which jewelry brands and designers were most popular among our users. Check out our top searched list.
I'm not surprised that Tiffany jewelry took the number 1 spot on our list. Their timeless jewelry collection has been a favorite for generations. In comparison to Tiffany, David Yurman jewelry is fairly new, but still wildly popular. His colorful collections of bracelets and rings are immediately recognizable for their unique aesthetic.
Number 4 on our list has put a new twist on an old classic. Pandora reinvented the charm bracelet with fashionable beads, jewels and charms.
Silpada jewelry (number 6) is sold exclusively through a dedicated group of representatives. Instead of shopping in stores, reps will hold a party in your home for you and your friends to browse their catalog and sample their jewelry.

Tiffany's is beautiful to shop at, but you are paying for getting the little light blue bag. I buy almost all my jewelery at Overstock.com where they run sales up to 82% off. I got a set of Black Tahitian pearls there for a steal!
I shop at Overstock

No piece of jewelery (be it $100 or $1000) makes me feel as good about myself as taking care of myself. I rather spend the money on great organic food, a great facial and taking the time to get a sitter so I can have some me time.

I love Overstock too. I just got a watch there that was 76% off.

I think you omitted one of the most creative designers today, LOREE RODKIN. She continues to offer original designs with each new year, custom designed pieces too. (I read her jewelry line has now expanded into other areas too.) That's where to buy a piece nobody else will be wearing! She's also price sensitive...something for everyone's budget...Love her unique pieces.

I agree wtih Izzie, don't get me wrong, jewelry is great and I have picked up some great deals at Overstock on jewelry, watches and a fabulous Steve Madden girafee print raincoat. But there is not amount of jewelry that is better than feeling comfortable in your own body.

My girlfriend loves jewlwery but my favorite gift to my lover is a TickleMe Plant. This is a real plant that closes its leaves and lower its branches when she tickles it. This is a real houseplant you can grow in a little greenhouse kit. Visit http://www.ticklemeplant.com to see the plant in action and to pick up your own little greenhouse kit

I used to manufacture fine jewelry. I purchased precious and semi-precious stones from Brazil, Thailand, Africa and India. We did our own castings. Take my word for this buying at Tiffany or any of the other "high end top retailer" is totally a waste of money. What you are receiving is a few minutes of attention and a whole lots of markup. Unless you are purchasing investor grade stones, which few people do, or even fewer understand, I suggest purchasing inexpensive pieces that make you feel good. Jewelry is one of they most over priced, poorest investment you could ever make.

I think LOREE RODKIN's jewelry and cosmetic lines were omitted from your list. Finally a woman that is truly original and has created a line for every budget...Check it out. I was really pleased.

Can someone explain to me why, out of the 14 Reader Comments already made, 13 are BLATANT ADVERTISING SCHEMES and one a sex tape link?????
What's the point of Comments when they have little or no relativity to the article? Maybe AOL should do some weeding of these.
As for the article, nothing surpasses Tiffany. They are all statement pieces. The quality is worth the price. Not surprised it's No. 1. Just got a Pandora bracelet from my son for Mother's Day. Haven't taken it off yet. Another quality piece.

Some people like spending money on the gym, clothes or jewelry; whatever makes them feel good. To each their own. My husband has a jewelry store that has been in his family for over 100 years. People go there because they trust him. He also loves what he does and likes to educate people on what they are buying. I'm not sure you can get that when you buy a piece from a website.

I'm surprised Judith Ripka wasn't on the list.

You can't beat Lia Sophia jewelry for beauty and value. Buy 2 at regular price and get the 3rd at HALF off (make it your most expensive piece). You are then qualified to buy 3 more items at HALF off. My hostesses get anywhere from $300 to $600 for having an in-home or catalog show! http://www.liasophia.com/nadineross

You are so right. Taking care of oneself is the best thing. However, sometimes when a person is feeling "blue" a piece of jewelry adds that special something and heightens your senses. I would like to point out a very affordable jewelry called Jewels by Park Lane. They carry designer inspired jewelry at affordable prices. For instance, this month up until May 27 you can receive a FREE piece of jewelry with a purchase over $60 and you can also purchase additional pieces for only $12 each. Now THAT'S a bargain especially now for graduation and Father's Day. There's jewelry for everyone, style and budget! Check it out! visit http://www.myparklane.com/mrodriguez
On a side note, are you thinking of decorating your home? Celebrating Home (formerly Home Interiors) carries an array of decorations for your home. Also visit http://www.homeinteriors.com/maryrodriguez for your home decorating needs.
Both of these companies also offers fundraisers. Keep them in mind if you or someone you know would like to have a fundraiser which gives the organization 50% of sales profit!!
Enjoy!!

While www.CandoriJewelry.com is not on the top 10 list, it is a favorite among many women across the nation. This jewelry is not mass produced and has the quality and feel of high end pieces using semi-precious stones. A great value for solid sterling and crystal quartz. No middle man so much lower prices...buy direct online from designer.

Most people recognize Movado for their watches(gold dot, but they produce a jewelry line sold in Movado boutiques that have amazing timeless sleek designs; truly demonstrating less is more. They don't have the marketing machine like Tiffany, but they deserve to be on the TOP 10 list. Check out for yourself at movado.com
