Summer hasn't even started yet and I already got my first sunburn. The funny thing was, I wasn't even out in the sun that long! It just goes to show how important it is to keep your skin protected. The sun's rays are so strong that you can even get a sunburn on a cloudy day. Be on the safe side and slather on some sunblock to keep your skin protected.
Sunblock products are important to skin health because they absorb ultraviolet radiation, a known carcinogen, from the sun. Therefore, along with sunblock clothing and other sun safety strategies, sunblocks are one of the most important parts of protecting your skin. In celebration of National Sun Safety Week, check out our list of the top searched sunscreens!
When choosing a sunscreen, one of the most important things to consider is the Sun Protection Factor, or SPF. Any sunblock above SPF 15 usually provides sufficient protection. If you do want to bronze your skin, some suntan lotions, like Australian gold, have a lower SPF that allows you to tan while still blocking some UV rays.
Consider how much sun protection you need by looking at your day-to-day life. If you are on the go a lot, try adding SPF protection to your skin care regime. Many skin care products, such as face and body lotion, include SPF protection. If you are at the beach or playing sports, look for a waterproof sunscreen that won't melt off when you sweat or wash off in the water. Number 2 on our list, Blue Lizard, claims that it will stay on for for 240 minutes in whirlpool water.
What sunblock do you use? Let us know! Search for more sunscreen on AOL Search.

The most complete selection of the highest quality sunscreens in the world can be found at the SkinCareRx web site. http://cli.gs/SkinCareRx I live in South Florida so sunscreens are important if you don't want to have skin like a prune when you get older. All my friends and family use that site because they have it all, and I do mean ALL. They have Chemical Sunscreens, Physical Sunscreens, Chemical & Physical Sunscreens, Sprays & Wipes, Treatments with SPF, Moisturizers with SPF, Day Creams with SPF, Powder Sunscreens, Lip Sunscreens, Tinted Sunscreens, Makeup, and Sunscreen Clothing http://cli.gs/SkinCareRx

I have found the Green Screen Organic Sunscreen http://cli.gs/GreenScreenOrganicSunscreen to be the best sunscreen I have tried so far.
I am using it as a facial sunscreen over facial lotion and with some makeup. As a chemically sensitive woman who wants TRULY organic products, the marketplace provides very little selection. Mychelle and Desert Organics are the only 2 products that meet my personal standards – but leave me looking like Casper’s cousin. Using product that I feel good about, that is easy to apply and work with when combined with organic lotions, (which is another issue since the ingredients in most organic products are sometimes not conducive for smooth results/application), and doesn’t leave me smelling like medicine or chemicals or looking like a ghost, is a wonderful thing. http://cli.gs/GreenScreenOrganicSunscreen
My white cat, Martin, even gives it a thumbs (paws) up. I applied to his ears and he only vaguely tried to wipe it off (usually a sign that it doesn’t sting, stink or feel heavy on him). Knowing that the small amt that he may have ingested wouldn’t hurt him makes a cat momma very happy! Probably not the original intent of your product – but a great fringe benefit nonetheless. http://cli.gs/GreenScreenOrganicSunscreen

Without a doubt the best sunscreen in the world is MexiTan http://cli.gs/MexiTan The others on that list don't even come close. We just got back from a week on the Mexican Riviera and we used Mexitan SPF sunscreen the whole time. We didn't get a sunburn or rash at all and felt great about using a product that's chemical-free and that won't harm the delicate ecosystem. It's 100% All Natural, No Harsh Chemicals, with GREEN TEA. Biodegradable Sunscreen!
Please...don't smother potentially harmful chemical sunscreens on your family's skin, instead use this very effective chemical-free sunscreen made only with all natural ingredients...it's healthy for the skin and provides high UVA and UVB protection. http://cli.gs/MexiTan

As a mom, I am forever "inventing" new products that would be "perfect" for my child. I am always reading labels thinking, "if only it had this ingredient or did not have that ingredient." I have "invented" several products - everything from the perfect sippy cup to the perfect handsoap. But this all natural sunscreen http://cli.gs/PerfectSunScreen is the first that has become a reality - a sunscreen that I can put on my child everyday and without synthetic chemicals or questionable natural products.

I am in love and his name is Mr. Nature Cleanse http://cli.gs/NatureCleanse ! This is by far the best cleansing product available. I saw it on Oprah and thought I would give it a try. Nature Cleanse has pretty much changed the way I live my life. My daily chores are done in a breeze and I have more energy, not to mention more time in my day since I don't mind jumping out of bed in the mornings at 7:00 am now. This is not just a cleanser. It is also a detox. I can feel it working and have only been using it for 6 weeks.

For the longest time I didn't have to worry about sunscreens because I stayed away from the beach because I was embarrassed about the stretch marks I got from the birth of my 2 children. and cellulite. Last summer I decided to do something about those problems. I did some research and I discovered Striation http://cli.gs/StretchMarkEraser , which is an intense stretch mark therapy. I thought it would be harder to get rid of my cellulite but after a lot of trial and error I found BodySolution http://cli.gs/BestCelluliteSolution a cellulite toning system that is clinically proven to smooth cellulite and firm in as little as 72 hours. All I can tell you is that my research worked and thanks to these two great products I'm back in my bikini on the beach.

I religiously use sunscreen. I like La Roche-Posay sunblock with mexoryl It used to not be available in the US and now it is. My biggest beauty tips are drink water, wear sunblock and walk at least 45 minutes every day.
I go out lunchtime slather on the sunblock. I am religious about that! And I put smartsole anti-cellulite insoles in my sneakers. I tried SmartSole last year through the recommendation of a friend, and I LOVE them!!!! http://www.smartsole.com It's an insole that's not only really comfortable, and I think has made my sneakers last longer, but...and I'm not sure it can deserve all the credit, but definitely some...my butt's never looked higher or better ;) Somehow that back of thigh area is looking much less jiggly and I don't think it's my imagination. They cause you to burn more calories with every step. I found a code on an Oprah board for 10% off which is fit10.
One other beuaty thing I always do is to never go to sleep with my makeup on.

I am obsessed with sunblock. I put it on everyday even when it is cloudy out. I like Avon's Anew brand, I also used to use their Skin so soft. I also like Neutragena. The important thing is to always wear. as the UVA rays can get you too.. UVB is the ones you feel, UVA just ages your skin. I have always been all about the skin. I may have a few more pounds than some of my friends, but I think that cause I always use block and take care of my skin, I look better.
I write a blog on weight loss (I lost 80 plus pounds) anti-aging and looking fabulous. I am a huge fan of flax for overall skin quality. You need some fats in your diet. My blog is loaded with great recipes and coupon codes too http://www.flaxchick.com
Yesterday was national chocolate chip day and I posted a recipe for healthy choc chip cookies with flax. So delicious.

Along with the sunscreen, you might want to get the beach body to go along with it. Nothin' better than the wows you get when showing off a newly slimmed body. I lost 47 pounds in 6 weeks using the Rapidthin diet at www.rapidthin.com. Good luck to all. Use what works for you.

A friend gave me Arizona Sun lotion for a present. I used it in VT for summer boating, and winter skiing. In the 90's, I went to Baja...Sea of Cortez on a kayak and fishing trip. I called Arizona Sun to order sunscreen, lipscreen, and moisturizers. I took a small bottle of #15 sunscreen assured that was all I would need by the salesperson. It was PERFECT! No burn, beautiful tan! They have a great website.

I am very skin conscious and never skip on sunscreen, even if it's just on my face. I have found that one issue is always convenience of having it and applying it, as well as the texture or oiliness of the sunscreen. I was searching for something i could keep with me in my purse, but also have it be easy to apply. Colorscience sunforgettable dispensing brush is amazing. It comes in a tube that has a brush at the end, like a makeup brush. SPF 30, water resistant, UVA/UVB. It's a powder that you can use for your whole body, no residue or oil, and it works great! You can brush it over your makeup, and it's translucent. It's also recommended by the skin cancer foundation. It's orderable online, or there are certain skin care centers that sell it too.:)
