The internet is great for many things. I don't know about how great it is for weight loss. I know when I was heavy it was not as if I did not know how to lose weight. I could tell you the calorie count of every donut at Dunkin Donuts! It was not the learning about how to lose weight that was the issue. It was the doing. I joined Weight Watchers, not for the knowledge but for the group support and it helped me immeasurably.
I find the internet is great for looking up recipes and tips though. My new favorite food is fitflax which I had read about on Hungry Girl who gives great tips on low calorie tasty eating. Fitflax is a roasted flax blend that does not need to be ground, is tasty, low cal/low carb, filling and helped me with losing my last 25 pounds.

Yeah, it's quite convenient to get answers on internet these years. Good thing is search engines like Google, AOL are smarter and smarter, we can always find exactly what we are searching for in seconds.

The best "how to" website I have ever seen is one that shows you how to sell just about anything you want on Ebay , and do it profitably, its viewable at http://tinyurl.com/djcsru and it has helped me propel my little company's sales to unbelievable heights and I'm positive it can help you too!

I knew many people who were making money online but it never worked for me. The more I saw how much money they made, the harder I worked, and the more I failed. I never gave up and at some point I realized that I simply didn't have the right skills. I figured that if anyone could teach me it had to be one of the most successful internet marketers of all and his name is Ewen Chia and I took the course at this link http://alturl.com/3kw9 He taught me a simple 3 step system for making money on the internet. The investment was next to nothing but the results have been spectacular. Now I'm making more money than I ever have in my life and best of all, working less hours so I have time to enjoy my family.

I have made money and saved on my online shopping by buying through fatcrumbs. The site is absolutely FREE to join...No hidden costs. It is basically an online shopping mall.
This site tells you the unpublished coupon codes and how to get free shipping at over 500 of the top sites (bloomingdales, shoes.com, old navy, the gap, target)and when you recommend others you get back cash as well. Usually your cash back is between 5 and 55%
I have not made crazy money, and am not quitting my day job, but it does add up and its nice to save as well.

I have always had a passion for travel and by receiving the opportunity in order to book a reservation at any 5 star rated resort accommodation in the world while saving money at the same time and on top of those saving options not to mention earning a six figure income. where those extra stimulating income principals sure can come in handy especially when you are considered an active traveler that also enjoys out door sports and recreational activities.

I always search for weight loss online. I just read about the cookie diet on Flax Chick. One of my coworkers did this diet and lost 20 pounds. I love the idea of eating cookies and losing weight. What could be so bad?

I save money by no longer buying expensive makeup and skin care from department stores or the dermatologist. I am loving Avon as you are paying for good cutting edge science and not for fancy advertising and packaging. Their Anew Flash Facial is incredible.

When ever I have some cleaning vendetta and I'm not sure how to handle it, I google my problem. I have found some interesting solutions. For example: To get permanent marker off of a wooden surface, use whitening tooth paste and a little elbow grease. To get pine sap off clothes, use hand-sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. To get rust stains out of clothes use lemon juice. It's amazing what you can find!!!

With so many people looking for jobs, I would have thought that questions about job search and interviewing would have been at the top of the search list.

Doing research on certain subjects I realize I was lied to all my life about certain subjects. The main one? Is why we fougth wars. The USA creates enemies to fight to make money. Refdesk? I'm retired so now I spend about 10 hours reading.

Let's be real, #6. How to make french toast ?? Come on. Where is 'How to download music' or 'How to watch free movies online' ? Things that the two big entertainment industries are always complaining about people doing. If AOL is going to do a total fluff piece, at least make a realistic list.

I think it is great that you put out so much interesting information. I have some important information about a surgery known as Gamma Knife for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I was the receipient of GK and as a result made a complete fecovery from OCD. I would like to know how I can get this information on AOL so others might benefit from it as well. Thank you.

At 80 years old, I am one of thousands of disabled, home-bound seniors. Although I am far from being one of the affluent, I praise Almighty God that I have sufficient for my needs, including a good wife, warm housing, good health insurance, seven dogs, 8 cats (at last count -- neutered cats come and go in the woods) and a good computer which links me to the world. At the click of a button, I can go anyplace I ever imagined, from the palace of the Dali Lama to the meteor-scarred surface of Mercury to the bottom of the sea. I can read books and see art and architecture around the world. What a blessing the Internet is for shut-ins who are no longer shut-out! And if you've gotta pee, you don't have to search for a malodorous cubby with a hole in the floor. I have crossed the Alps with Hannibal and prayed on the Mount of Olives, spat in the eye of several politicians and world leaders, and seen animals nobody knew existed just a few years ago. I have watched whales give birth and dinosaurs wrestle, and have photographs of my own great-great-great grandparents. I have seen pictures of beautiful young men and women doing things together that I didn't know were anatomically possible. Ah, where was the sexual revolution when I was young and could have used it? There are few limits to the places one can go and the things one can see. So, thank God for the Internet.

Look at the list. If that doesn't prove that the internet is electric grafitti, I don't know what would -- french toast and prayer. How do you juxtapose those two things and pretend there is any logical connection? if there is a valid point to be made here it's that there is no point to internet searches.
