Choosing a major is an important, yet difficult, step on the road to earning your diploma. Some head to college with hopes of being a psychologist or a doctor, and others start their freshman year ready to focus on their interests. When you graduated high school, did you know what you wanted to study already? Or did you wait a few semesters before you declared?A lot of stress is put on higher education. If you are feeling overwhelmed about selecting a path, just remember that the major you choose for your degree doesn't necessarily set the course for the rest of your life. Many people land jobs outside their field of studies and go on to be very successful. So, consider your interests when electing a major and you will enjoy your continuing education much more.
From a more practical stand point, do your research before deciding on a major. Education is a priceless commodity, but universities have a hefty price tag with student loans. Consider how the market is trending in certain fields and project how job availability and salary will be once you graduate. According to Forbes, the fastest growing professional fields are health care and computer technology. Maybe nursing school could be for you.

My major was Nutrition Sciences. Nutrition science majors study how our bodies transform everything from hot dogs to salads into energy we can use. I studied how changes like aging, illness, exercise, and pregnancy affect our digestion.
In my study of nutrition sciences, I explored the latest research in, for example, the benefits and possible dangers of antioxidants. Through that research I became aware of two great products that I have been testing and seeing amazing weight loss results among my test groups. One of them is a product that not only helps suppress appetites and speed up metabolism but it has many beneficial antioxidant properties. It is available online at http://theworldsgreatestsupplement.com/
The other product is a fat burning energy drink ( http://snipurl.com/WuYiWeightLossTea ) made out of an amazing Oolong tea from the mineral rich mountains of Wu-Yi. It is the healthiest and most effective form of Oolong fat burning tea packed with the highest levels of antioxidants and rich fat burning metabolism boosters http://snipurl.com/WuYiWeightLossTea
My goal is to make a dent in the obesity problem we have in this country and when my research is published I hope I'm on the way to accomplishing that goal.

I went to medical school and after having a family practice for about 5 years I just got bored. I found that I preferred research and eventually created a natural skin care line that is aloe based, so there are no water fillers, has bio penetrating creams, along with some Dead Sea ingredients. I went all out and created moisturizers, anti wrinkle creams, eye creams, dark circles eye creams, puffy eyes cream, alpha hydroxy and vitamin C renewal creams as well as creams for stretch marks. I'm really proud of my work and the success it's had. http://NaturalSkinCare.notlong.com

The thing that I found most unattractive about my face as I got older were the dark circles under my eyes. I tried everything I could to get rid of them but nothing ever worked. I got tired of seeing all the scam ads on TV for skin care products that don't work so I started dong some research about my problem on the internet and I discovered that dark circles around and underneath eye area is not usually caused by a lack of sleep, instead the membrane in that area (a vascular rich zone) of skin is readily susceptible to discoloration (usually dark or pink). I found a great product ( http://tinyurl.com/NoMoreDarkCircles ) that contains Haloxyl which is a new ingredient combination that has shown great promise and results in lowering the darkness of color in the under eye area. This cream is natural based so no pore clogging ingredients like mineral oil will make the problem worse. The ingredients in this natural based skin care cream are all about stimulating the pooling blood in the area under and around the eyes. This is one of the main causes of dark circles.
The very thin and fine layers of skin are pumped full of skin thickening ingredients to help maximize the cell wall to decode the see through color for the skin in that area. It also helps to firm the skin around the eyes and reduce puffiness. Extremely good for a great all around look.
http://tinyurl.com/NoMoreDarkCircles
One of the reported side effects (there are only good side effects with this cream) is that puffiness and bags under the eyes are reduced in appearance drastically making this one of the best all around eyes cream in general not to mention for the afore mentioned problems.
As mentioned above the causes can vary a little but for most the same three causes of both under eye puffiness, bags under the eyes and of course dark circles are lack of blood flow, pooling blood, thinning or thin skin and leaking of blood in the very veinous tissue. All of these can be helped tremendously with the absolute best under eye treatment that includes peptides, skin thickeners and much more all in a natural base.

Amazing that this article is about the most college majors students are looking into, and most of you are trying to promote some stupid products to look younger, age less, lose weight. Guess what people? It's called common sense. 1. Stick to the topic in the article and make appropriate comments. 2. If you want to be younger, feel younger, lose weight, just eat right, exercise and stop making stupid postings. It will add years to your life!

I studied business and economics which is a good background for anything.
I recently had my hours got at my job and am struggling financially..and started to lookonline for opportunities. I do love the sites that tell you that you can earn a million dollars online by working a few hours a day and then they tell you about their yachts and race cars. Then there is a cost to sign up. The only one making millions is the guy with the race car.
Given the fact that I am making less money then I was a year ago and my 401K is worth poop, I did look for creative ways to add to my income.
I found an online website that gives me the unpublished codes at about 300 stores (including Target, The Gap, Best Buy, Old Navy,
Drugstore.com, etc) as well as giving me between 5 and 50% back in cash on my purchases. The site is http://www.fatcrumbs.com You shop through the site and they give you money back for whatever you purchase and if you recommend friends you get back more. I am no buying a yacht or making millions. I am though saving money on all my purchases as well as getting some cash back. And the site is FREE
..and I still think a business background prepares you to be scrappy and bend with the economic environment

I graduated college in 1998, afterwards the college decided to sell my loan. I had had several loan companies. I went into the Peace Corps and had to consolidate quickly, so the one that contacted me had me at 8.4 interest! My payments each month are that of a mortgage. This is truely unfair, I only borrowed $55, and the interest adds up to $104. Now if I were loaning someone this amount and charging that kind of interest I would be jailed for Loan Sharking. Obama had better hear from all of us as we cannot afford this, and I am thinking of default, because I can't afford rent or food. Thank you

Unlike the writers of the first 8 comments, I actually went to college. I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology and the other is a Master Of Criminal Justice. Both of these fields are hot because there are so many crazy criminals out there to practice on, (pun intended). This is real-life experience talking, which is the type of response to the basic article that you should expect.
But I want to WARN THE READER that those first 8 comments are nothing but advertisements for products that are statistically 99% worthless. They are only designed to produce a profit for the persons who posted those comments with the advertisement for their product or service.
If the reader (you) falls for any of these advertisements, then you (the reader) are statistically 99% stupid. Being stupid is a very important, high-level psychological term that is often criminal in nature. (There, I managed to use some of the knowledge I gained from those degrees I have, -- all in one sentence)!
Thank you , and have a nice day! Leave cash only for me with the secretary/receptionist.

I've known what I would like to study since fifth grade. Originally, i wanted to study paleontology, but in high school i switched to forensic pathology because paleontology-though fun- is not financially stable; funding for digs either comes from grants or your own pocket.

The article didnt say anything about selling junk to anybody, cant you people read. Maybe you should be suggesting helpful thoughts to students looking to go to college instead of selling your crap.

I see several so called, "Healthy diets" list here. Most are bunk. If you get back to me, I can tell you what vitamins and supplements to take to enrich and prolong your life. No hype, just facts, and most of it you can buy at Wal Mart. I charge for this, but I guarentee if you follow it fathfully, you will live longer and in good health. I'm 67, and most guys half my age and younger can't keep up with me.

As a parent from the Hippy Generation and now a teacher, I find that we made two major mistakes when we discussed college with our kids:
1. We enjoyed them to major in what they liked without regard for career development.
2. We suggested that an "A" in an easy subject is better than a "C" in a hard subject.
As a result, college grads make about 35,000 annually if they can find a job. If you measure the ROI, then college may not be the investment is was suppose to be.

Knowledge is the power of wealth. The knowledge comes from the college education, reading valuable books and professional mentors.
Our knowledge of particulate pollution, prompted our development of a handy new product. It is Athma-Pure Nosefilters, a means of breathing clean air. Our Athma-Pure filters are carbon activated from carbohydrate source and MERV rated to filter and adsorb (100% carbonized basal planes, from carbohydrates) particulates from 0.35 to 500 microns. The fractional efficiency is minimum when the particle size is small at 0.35 micron size. This media construction, coupled with a proprietary electrostatic treating technology, allows filters made with INTREPID Media to achieve high initial and sustainable filtration efficiencies. You can easily dispose of the device with the filters or reuse the device by cleaning it with regular liquid soap and replacing our refill filters. Use it and feel better.
Nosefilts™ is a respiratory inlet covering device with filters from Athma-Pure can be useful for those who believe in nose breathing and athma-pure logics for well-being. It is a preventive and beneficial product to feel better from airborne allergies. If the people are allergic to charcoal filters of various brands, they can try Nosefilts™ to feel better. I deliver one nose filter device plus one month supply of refill nosefilters at $18.00 for the U.S. consumers. You can easily dispose of the device with the filters or reuse the device by cleaning it with regular liquid soap and replacing our refill filters. Visit my website: athma-pure.com
