I was lucky enough to never have been overweight in my life. That all ended after the birth of my second child. I got down to 20 pounds over my normal weight but no matter what I did I couldn't lose the rest. I didn't know if was age catching up with me or if somehow my metabolism changed. Whatever the reason, nothing was working. One of my friends, knowing what I was going through, recommended a weight loss pill to me. I was very reluctant to try anything like that but when she explained to me that it contained acai berry, she got my attention. I know that the acai berry is one of the best antioxidants available. That made me realize that this was more than a weight loss pill but something that would be good for me too. What made me feel even better was that they offered a free 15 day supply at their web site http://theworldsgreatestsupplement.com/ Anyway, I ordered my free sample and it worked. I lost about 2 pounds a week and in less than three months I was back to my normal weight and I felt full of energy and actually felt the healthiest I felt in years. You owe it to yourself to look into Acai Berry Select if you need to lose weight. http://theworldsgreatestsupplement.com/

I bought the Hip Hop Abs DVD set and loved it. I've danced for many years so this came pretty easy to me. But within a week I started to see results in my abs. Don't be fooled by the name either. It works out more than just your abs. Love love love this workout program.

Online workouts are great because you can do them anywhere - even at work! I use http://www.xpresworkouts.com because for the price of a DVD I get tons of workouts I can do anywhere. You can choose from 4 minute workouts, 10 minute workouts, on up to 30 minutes. You can use your own bodyweight or equipment - just choose the program that fits your needs and what equipment you have available. Check out the website - it has sample workouts on it http://www.xpressworkouts.com

Oops! I mispelled the link the first time. It's http://www.xpressworkouts.com for workouts you can do in as little as 4 minutes (called Tabatas) and give you an "afterburn" effect where you continue to burn calories because it keeps your metabilism up for hours after the workout.

Even though I've lifted weights for years, I have gotten fantastic results with P90X. If you are serious about getting in great shape and don't mind about an hour a day of hard work you can't beat P90X. The routines will kick your butt at first, but you will see and feel results from week one.

What about denise austin??? She has been on for year and has all the yoga a arobics with the nice water scenes.

Yeah, I like the P90X program as well. Like anything else you have to do it in order to get the results. It doesn't matter how many books you read, DVD's you purchase, or online programs you subscribe to - if you don't get up and take action you'll stay right where you are and even backslide into worse shape.

The proper mindset is another thing to keep you moving forward. I watched this DVD called "The Leap" and it's an awesome way to shift your current thoughts into a new way of thinking for the better. You can see a clip of it here: http://www.leapmovie.com/jrox/jrox.php?id=10056

I think denise austin is so personable. I sent he n eail once tekking herI had been sick with diabetes and she made it a point few days later to mention checking the sugar she did that 2 days in a row the timing was great and a great inspiration for me to stay well. Circulation does heal the body I came off diayalasis and I feel it was partly due to the exercise and heart being strong as well. Eat right and watch the fatty foods and do portion control!!!

I have struggled with my weight loss for years now and I have never succeeded. After getting my largest at 213 I began trying to loose the weight. I had started going to Jenny Craigs and lost about 30lbs, but no inches even though I was supposedly eating healthy food; which looking back wasn't really that healthy. So what's the point of loosing so much weight if your not loosing inches? I was probably loosing muscle! I didn't enjoy it and I hated having to go weigh myself every week and disappoint not only one person but two if I hadn't lost any weight. After 6 months, I dropped out, and gained 10lbs back. After that one of my friends had asked me to join Tiger Schulmans Mixed Martial Arts, I was reluctant at first because I've never been much of a violent fighting type, but I figured I'd give it a try! After the first day of going I was so excited and had so much energy that I decided keep going, 6 months later I lost 30lbs and dropped 6 pant sizes! I was amazed as to how fast I was seeing and feeling results in myself. I would definitely recommend Mixed Martial Arts to anyone who wants to have a fun workout, learn some self defense and get amazing results!!

Just another comment about P90X. I've been doing it for about a year now. What I have done is added more variety. Sometimes I will do bench presses instead of push ups, squats instaed of some of their leg exercises, etc. I do things at their pace but switch back and forth. Excellent results. I'm 48 and when I wear a tank top the young guys look at me like..who's this freaky old guy with the white beard that has big muscles and veins popping out of his arms and chest. Seriously P90X has changed my life.

I love Jillian Michaels. She was #1 on my most-searched list!

The Biggest Loser Workouts are really hard! I have a ton of firm workouts, core rhythm workouts, dancing with the stars workouts and a yoga workout. The Biggest Loser workouts are the ones I do the least because they aren't fun at all. For anyone who wants to burn calories and have fun, I highly recommend Core Rhythms and Dancing with the Stars. And all of the firm workouts are fun and effective.

All the programs mentioned here, I've done and received minimal results with a lot of effort put into" sticking with it". I'm actually in great shape because exercise has been a huge part of my life for 20 years... so I have done almost everyone of these methods of exercise. But I'm here to share with all the ladies (and guys) that there IS a better program out there that was not listed here... Joey Atlas. A personal trainer in Fla. who has come out with the ultimate exercise DVDs. Ladies can actually exercise at home with VERY few pieces of equipment ... a step and a ball ... and get tight, long lean legs without the bulk that all these other programs give most of us . Check out his web site. I believe it's a girls duty to pass on great information to other women to better their lives!! Joeyatlas.com
Buy the Ultimate Lower Body Workout... you'll be SOOOO happy you tried it!
Best of luck
