I had never been much of a coffee drinker until my trip to Hawaii last year. While I was there I discovered the delicious and rich flavors of Kona coffee, only available from the Hawaiian Islands. Since then, just the smell of fresh coffee beans or coffee brew makes my mouth water.Coffee drinkers are a dedicated bunch. They set their automatic Cuisinart coffee maker to brew their morning coffee the same way they set their alarm to wake them up in the morning. Or they stop at their favorite coffee franchise, like Starbucks, every morning on their way to work.
I don't need too much caffeine in the morning, so I like to stick with my one cup coffee maker. Though I like my Keurig coffee maker, I thought it would be nice to try some other types of coffee. I decided to get some suggestions by looking at what kinds of coffee people are searching for on AOL Search.
For a special treat, I am excited to try some of the gourmet coffee that showed up on the top searched list. Number seven, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, has regional exclusivity like Kona coffee and a deliciously unique flavor. Gevalia Coffee carries a wide variety of gourmet flavors and roasts, including seasonal flavors. I was also interested in getting some green coffee beans and roasting my own coffee. What could be fresher?
If I need a cup of joe on the go, drive thru coffee, like Dunkin Donuts, is the fastest and I can get some breakfast. Green Mountain Coffee, number one on the list, is also great with food and is served at a lot of restaurants because they sell wholesale coffees.
There are so many choices. What is your favorite type of coffee? Leave a comment and let us know! Find out about more types of coffee on AOL Search and locate a coffee shop near you with AOL Yellow Pages.

I am a advid coffee drinker. I still can't fathom how starbucks makes it to top 10 for coffee. Even with great marketing, myself and everyone I know considers starbucks very expensive swill. I would buy coffee from my local convinience store first. Also, where is Tim Horton's coffee on this list? 2nd best next to DD. Folgers would have been my #3.

My top 3 favorite coffees....1) Kona 2) Kona 3) Kona....100% Kona...none of the blend stuff that gets away with calling itself Kona and it is only 10% Kona. Splurge and enjoy!

The top 10 sound great but they are all commercial. I think everyone should check out Marlton Coffee (www.marltoncoffee.com. Its a small company located in NJ and they ship all over the world. Their coffee is simply the best I have ever tasted. I have tried the top 10 and Marlton Coffee products are far superior!

Gloria Jeans Gourmet coffee is the best coffee. It beats Dunkin Donuts, and Starbucks handsdown. They primarily use flavored beans, instead of flavor syrups. You add your own condiments, so it is always the way you like it. Besides all of the scrumptious hot beverages they offer, they also have a plethera of tempting iced and frozen beverages as well. Gloria Jeans will always get my $$$$, when I need a high octane pick-me-up.

A morning without coffee is like a day without sunshine. I started appreciating coffee about 41 years ago in the USAF when my Sgt exposed us to Kona coffee. I have been drinking it ever since and prefer it even with dinner. I have found Gevalia to be a good source for coffees with unique tastes, but the locally owned - neighborhood coffee shop is by far the best place to enjoy a great cup of coffee because you can share it with friends, discuss the problems of the world, solve every situation imagineable and develop friendships that just might last the rest of your life. Thus, good coffee beans, good company and something many don't realize...good water are the keys to many a good memories.

Two Florida chains can kick the butts off anyone out there including Gevalia and Starbucks. Boca Java out of Deerfield Beach (bocajava.com) has some of the best, smoothest coffee out there and their espresso is to die for. And the Roasted Bean out of Weston who also does mail order will make it just about any way you may desire it.

By far the best everyday coffee is Costco's Kirkland 100% Columbian Dark Roast. The kids gave us a Keurig maker for Christmas. Good to try different blends with but I'm not sure that I would have paid that much money for a coffee maker. I only drink coffee at home. Your getting ripped off when you buy at drive in shops and restaurants.

Well when I am visting my parents in Surprise, Arizona I stop in at a small loacl place. Over Coffee. Nice place and staff. Coffee is great. I have had to go to the chains on the road but much prefer the independants.

One of the finest coffees I have ever drank is community coffee, out of Luisiana. They have several blends to choose from.

Agreed, Kona is very very good...only coffee grown in the USA. Folgers Columbian has best aroma & taste. Every body knows by now...anything grown in Columbia is always & forever more THE BEST AROUND TOWN. enough said.
