With the swimsuit season almost here, many of my friends are talking about one thing: losing weight. As we started talking about all the different diet plans out there, one friend asked, "Why diet, when you can just pop a diet pill?" Is it really that easy? Being completely naive about diet pills and diet supplements, I decided to pull a list of the top searched diet pills to find out what all the hype was about. I can see why Alli made it to the top of the list. According to their customer testimonials, this pill, along with diet and exercise, can increase weight loss up to 50 percent. However, Alli is known to have some nasty side effects as well. According to their website, you will pass something "that looks like the oil on top of a pizza" out your body. Are the benefits worth the costs? Find out more at AOL Body.
Did you know phentermine received FDA approval back in 1959? It's still the top searched diet pill today. It's strange to think people have been using phentermine for so long.
I have to say, I'm a little skeptical of all these miracle pills and I wonder if they really lead to healthy weight loss. There are so many diet pills that out there that I question how safe they really are. Some of these diet pills I have actually heard of like Hoodia and Hydroxycut. But what exactly are Meridia and Lipovox? Lipovox, number 9, is made of extracts from superfoods like flaxseed, barley, green tea, acai and more. The antioxidants from these superfoods are great for your body.
Dieting is hard! Quick diets don't help you lose weight long term and exercise regimens are hard to stick to. Maybe diet pills really are the best way how to lose weight effectively.
Yes, popping a diet pill does sound much easier than counting your calories or exercising, but do they really work? Have you tried any of these diet pills? And if so, what worked for you? Try searching for diet pills on AOL Search. Or, if diet pills aren't your thing, you can check out AOL Body for weight loss tips.

2. Phentermine
3. Hoodia
4. Hydroxycut
5. Slimquick
6. Meridia
7. Xenical
8. Relacore

10. Metabolife

DO NOT believe the testimonials about the Acai berry. Their free trial in NOT FREE.. They give you 2 weeks to try it and you must return it not to get charged. The catch is that you have 2 weeks from THE DAY you place the order. It takes almost 10 days to get them in the mail so that gives you about 3 days to try it. Your then forced to pay the $88.00 dollars. And it doesn't stop there... Try to cancel it for the second month! I got the charge on my account before I ever got the product which I had alreadty canceled. They billed me any way for the 2nd month and I got a second bottle a couple of days later. I sent the product back and I had to go to my bank and have a card reissued to ensure they don't try and charge me again!! BEWARE of ordering Acai on line!! and after all that...the product is worthless..Doesn't work at all!

Has anyone ever used Sensa? I just received it and plan to start on Monday. I want to lose 25-30 pounds by Spring. Is this realistic??

I have taken Phentermine and I lost 30 pounds! Yes diet pills work only with diet and excersise, and under a doctors monitering. Use it right and anything works.

I am a big fan of Phentermine, but the problem is that it comes only with a prescription and once you've hit your normal BMI, the doctors will not prescribe it for you. I was on a weight loss program with my doctor for a year, and lost 50 # taking phentermine along with Curves and walking, running, bike riding. After I couldn't take Phentermine anymore I tried Hydroxycut, which kept my weight stable, but didn't help lose.

After reading all diet reviews, I decided to write one myself. WeightWatchers is AWESOME! (and should never be associated with the word "DIET"!) Those of us that are members are NOT on a diet. We can eat ANYTHING we want, without the aid of a "pill". You learn what foods fill you up, how to recognize when you are full (as to not over indulge), portion size, and appropriate excersize. That's it! Park your car in a FAR AWAY parking space at the store/mall. Then... WALK. There's some added excersize for ya! I've tried diet pills in the past. Not only did they not work, but they added much unwanted side effects. Not for me! I've lost 20 pounds since October '08. Slow, but HEALTHY! I'm not on a DIET, I'm living life while losing weight! Give WeightWatchers a try. You'll "lose" weight and "gain" a lot of friends!!!!

Hello. I lost 60lbs using Phentermine, but the side effects were terrible. I was extremely tired all of the time, but my mind would not shut down at night to allow me to sleep. They also effected my eye sight and I couldn't think straight. A simple task would take me double the time. They definately work, but they are not for everyone. I would advise ordering them on line because doctors don't want to write prescriptions for them any more. If you are in great health and don't take other medications, I feel this is a good way to at least start your weight loss journey.

Phentermine worked for me, but NOT alone. Popping a pill is not going to make you lose weight. I had to add exercise to my daily life as well. All that phentermine did was help me eat better and make better food choices. I dropped 40 pounds in about 5 months.

I got sucked into the acacai burn rip off on the internet. They said it was a free trial, but they included an additional month's supply in the bottle and then tried to charge me $59.95 for it. It's a scam. If you want diet pills, go for those over the counter, or check with your doctor to see which ones work for you. better yet, close mouth, don't eat that extra anything after dinner, and walk or exercise daily.

I think people are just speed freaks. I'm not saying they don't work ,Because I know people that has been on them and lost like.A lot of weight. I took one of the "FASTENS" and I have also tried the "ADIPEX" , And I will say that I eating was the last thing on my mind. For like 2 days. I also will say That I had plenty of energy. It felt like my heart was going to explode and bust out of my chest. I almost went to the ER Thats how bad I felt. So I would recommend anyone who wants to try "ANY" diet pills they should see a DR. first to see if there heart is in good enough shape to with stand the racing of it. Not just your heart the person themselves. You really have to be very careful because they all don't react with your body the same way as the one before did...USE CAUTION.....

I tried Alli and I got such severe stomach pains that I 'had' to stop. I was very disappointed because I have heard so many other's say it works well for them. My pains stopped after I stopped taking the Alli.

~PS~ I had started eating healthy foods 3 mo. before my failed Alli attempts and lost 30 pounds on my own. So I know if we eat right we can lose weight without the pills. I was just looking to enhance my slow weight loss. I continue to lose after I found out I cannot take Alli

Never had a wt. problem until 15 yrs ago. Saw myself in a video !! You know that feeling. Dr. couldn't give me Phen-fen which was the rage as I have a heart condition. He did give me one of the Phen (Phentermine) 15mg. 2x a day. It really worked, especially for the desire for sweets and salty foods. I lost 40 lbs. Then I stopped taking it. All of a sudden I noticed I was back to my hyper self which I considered normal. I realized the Phentermine actually focused me. I guess I have had a mild ADD for years. I just thought I would get on a roll and repaint the house etc. Now I take 15 mg. of phentermine once a day and all is good. And yes, when I told the Dr. about being more focused on the Phentermine he tried me on Ritalin. Whoa! That was not a good one for me. This seems to do the trick. We are all different.

I've tried several OTC ones through the years, but never had any result from them. One of my best friends lost 100+ pounds with prescription pills in her 20s. That was in the 60s, so I'm pretty sure she was on "Speed" before it segued from diet pill to recreational drug. She kept the weight off for life, but was unhealthy even though thin. She died in her mid 50s. it seems Speed really does kill, even if not speedily.

I think there's alot of people that are selling the Accai Berry products...that's the latest thing...but to be honest, I lost weight by swimming, jog/walkiing every day, and cutting back on what I ate, mainly the fat grams, and didn't eat after 6:30pm. You have to change your lifestyle, and once you do the weight comes off, you feel better and still have the money you would have spent on all the diet pills, gyms, etc...I walked and jogged with my dogs out on the road in front of my house...I do have a pool, so that helped, but you could ride a bike or any other aerobic activity. If it is convienent for you, it will be easier to do it every day...that is my advice on how I lost my weight. Hope this helps someone.
