With the swimsuit season almost here, many of my friends are talking about one thing: losing weight. As we started talking about all the different diet plans out there, one friend asked, "Why diet, when you can just pop a diet pill?" Is it really that easy? Being completely naive about diet pills and diet supplements, I decided to pull a list of the top searched diet pills to find out what all the hype was about. I can see why Alli made it to the top of the list. According to their customer testimonials, this pill, along with diet and exercise, can increase weight loss up to 50 percent. However, Alli is known to have some nasty side effects as well. According to their website, you will pass something "that looks like the oil on top of a pizza" out your body. Are the benefits worth the costs? Find out more at AOL Body.
Did you know phentermine received FDA approval back in 1959? It's still the top searched diet pill today. It's strange to think people have been using phentermine for so long.
I have to say, I'm a little skeptical of all these miracle pills and I wonder if they really lead to healthy weight loss. There are so many diet pills that out there that I question how safe they really are. Some of these diet pills I have actually heard of like Hoodia and Hydroxycut. But what exactly are Meridia and Lipovox? Lipovox, number 9, is made of extracts from superfoods like flaxseed, barley, green tea, acai and more. The antioxidants from these superfoods are great for your body.
Dieting is hard! Quick diets don't help you lose weight long term and exercise regimens are hard to stick to. Maybe diet pills really are the best way how to lose weight effectively.
Yes, popping a diet pill does sound much easier than counting your calories or exercising, but do they really work? Have you tried any of these diet pills? And if so, what worked for you? Try searching for diet pills on AOL Search. Or, if diet pills aren't your thing, you can check out AOL Body for weight loss tips.
Top Searched Diet Pills on AOL Search:
1. Alli
2. Phentermine
3. Hoodia
4. Hydroxycut
5. Slimquick
6. Meridia
7. Xenical
8. Relacore
9. Lipovox
10. Metabolife

I am 62 years old have always had a weght issue. I have tried every and I say every diet pill out there.
From black beauties to Alli and so forth. With all the jitters and side effects but for a few months I looked good. Then in Sept. I joined Weight watchers again with a co-worker and friend. Since Sept. I have lost 15lbs and she 25. It teaches you the right way to eat choices are very important. Plus doing it with a friend really helps. So please everyone stay away from pills unfortunatley there is no quick weight loss. I pray this time for me at Weight Watchers will be my last learning lesson,

Allow me to save every health/fitness supplement consumer a lot of time, money and disappointment. There is a PERFECT way to nourish your bodies full potential. I came across a 14 year old publicly traded bioscience company that has perfected and patented the first genetically guided supplement. DNA nutrition is the LATEST that science has to offer a health conscious consumer. It is now possible to pinpoint and support your own hereditary/ nutritional deficiences with a personally designed supplement which contains ONLY the ingredients that match your genetic chemistry. Friend, I no longer guess and test supplements. I now assess and take the best supplement. Your healthies future is only a cheek swab away. Let me send you a short video that explains in great detail how this nutritional science changes the way you feel and look. Email me at kingdomfocus@ymail.com

Phetermine does work, but I used the brand Adipex. I used it for about 2 months and lost 25lbs the first month. I believe I lost so much because I was already on diet plan and walking 3 miles a day 7 days a week before taking it. It just gave me a little edge once I hit a plateau and it looked like the rest wasn't coming off.

I don't see the big deal with weightloss pills, in general. I've lost nearly70 pounds within a year with moderation. It had nothing to do with weightloss pills, or shakes. Now i'm very skeptical about weightloss pills. Everyone has a side effect, reguardless if they're posted or not. And because everyones bodies are different, you'll react differently on them. Like anything you take. It'll have a completely different side effect. Another thing, those testomonials on those sites are probley written by the same web designer that created the site, to get those idiots that'll believe that junk. My advice, if you're going to take them, try it out for a few days, see how your body reacts to them. If they make your heart race, you're always jittery, or shakey, stop taking them. Another thing, it's not exactly that you need to loose weight, you need energy throughout your day. See B vitams are a natural boost. They aren't going to harm your body in any way. once you have energy, you'll want to do more things. See it's a mind game you're playing with yourself. yeah, yeah, you'll say to yourself...i'm going to loose all of this weight by this day next year. and when you only loose 10. you depress yourself emensly. Set smaller goals and go from there. you don't have to attend a gym to walk or use a stair stepper. if you have at least 1 stair to elevate your body, you can use that, and the average person, (believe it or not, you can do the research) walks at least 8,000 steps a day, which is equivilant to at least 1 mile a day (easy), depending on your stride. you can elevate that stride, on your everyday strole. walk a little faster, and elevate your heart rate, you'll burn more calories walking than running. plus you don't put unwanted stress on your joints and muscles when you walk a little bit faster. In a month or so, clinically speaking, you shouldn't loose no more than 15 pounds a month. anymore and you're flushing your system, and thats extremely dangerous. It leads to unhealthy bone structures, and you'll be sick a lot more, because of it. I agree drinking plenty of water and eatting in moderation. It also depends on the diet you've put yourself on. most people shouldn't try and starve themselves. a 2000 calorie diet isn't as hard as people think it is..and if you're capable of counting or doing simple math. It shouldn't be a burden to anyone. I'm still loosing weight to this day, but i'm not shedding off weight like i have a hot flame under my a** and it's melting off. set small goals, drink at least 8/20oz bottles of water a day. eat moderatly, and you'll loose weight without excessive excersise. I'll just say, try those pills are your own risk. For me, i chose the harder way, but it's not as complicated as i thought it would be. As anyone will say...do your research first before you jump into something you can't get yourself out of.

My weight seems to fluctuate up and down mostly because of family genes, but I was searching natural diet pills online about 2 months ago, and found something called Orovo. I think it was previewed on the Oprah show. I went on Ebay to find a cheaper price for a bottle. I took them for about 2 weeks, and I did loose my extra 10 pounds. They do contain some caffiene and made have lots of energy, but with diet and exercise, it worked!

I have been fighting overweight for a long time and was successful in 2006-07 doing it the natural way. Eating 6 small meals daily, drinking load of water and working with a trainer. Due to surgery and not being able to get around for sometime, I was hoping to jumpstart my efforts for the new year and took advantage of a so-called free trial of ColonXR. My Dr. has informed me that instead of trying all those things, I should return to what worked for me in the past. My efforts to return/cancel this product have been futile, as I cannot access the company using the web address given on the bottle. Unfortunately for me, since I was sure I was going to be using the product, I had discarded the accompanying paperwork. Internet searches suggest that the web address is inactive and that perhaps the whole thing is bogus. Are there any suggestions on how to get out of this mess?

Being healthy is a choice and once you make it then you need to find out the best way to achieve good health. Our society doesn't make it easy - the choice of healthy foods (particularly convenient ones) are very limited. Two years ago I had had it...I tried everything - and have since come to learn you can't exercise off weight - you MUST decrease your calories and make them count and make them healthy. I happened upon Take Shape for Life - a wholly owned subsidiary of Medifast - you know the diet that used to be perscribed by doctors so many years ago - well, it's new, it works, it's healthy and it provides the support of a coach to work with you and help you - it's easy and healthy and it works, no doubt it works. I lost 50 pounds and have kept it off for 2 years and feel great - and have learned alot! So, now I have become a coach and am helping others understand how and why and how to maintain - how to plan for long term success and optimal health. Becoming healthy is a journey - if you want to know more - contact me at DianeDarrow@aol.com or take a look at our website which is www.healthydiet.tsfl.com. There is no magic to this, but there is science - the magic comes with your desire to actually be healthy - if you want to be healthy (possibly getting off your medications) please lt me help you. If you will follow the protocols of the simple plan and let me help you - I know you will be successful - and that's what you want - isn't it? Happy New Year!

Any pill that the fda pushes is poison! America is a pill junkie! worse than any cocaine/pot user!. Take this into consideration. And NO I am not a doctor but see this as common sence. Go to a doctor, get checked out to see if you are healthy enough to excersise and have no medical issues. another..YOU CAN EAT WHAT YOU WANT! BUT! BUT eat in moderation. WATER!..you have to drink it! 8 or more large glass's a day! and exersise! walk a half hour a day folks is good enough. Weights? yes..why not, but you dont have to do heavy weight lifting! you light weights and do more reps. There are to many people that fall for every weight loss pill or idea out there and the FDA LOVES THIS!..people die from pills that are pushed from the FDA everyday folks! Oh and all those so called excersise guru's out there that sell you there almighty exersise equiptment are just making millions off of you and now collecting dust because MOST of them don't even work.. I tried this a few years ago when I started working out. I ate an apple and drank a large glass of water before each meal, and I also had an apple during the day just to help keep my craving for food down during the day. With myself I also jogged 3 miles every evening which took me about 30. Weight lifted ever other night except on weekends, I lost 30lbs in 2 months. I am so sure if you just eat an apple and drink a large glass of water before each meal, I bet most of you will lose weight. Atleast it helped me...Just eat in moderation people and one thing thing more, this is something you have to do on your own. Yes there are suuport groups out there. but you have to do this on your own!. if your happy with the way you look then GO WITH IT!. Thats what God wants in the first place! If your not happy. the excersise, eat in moderation and drink THAT WATER! Eat natural also..its better food in the long run..thats my two cents for the day..

I have been on phentermine several times and it works well, my doc has first taken an EKG although I am in pretty good shape, i do kick boxing but that 40 plus weight has hit me and I have put on 10 lbs and decided to try it again for 45 days. U can take it and get good results , maybe dropping the first ten pounds easily cause u are not hungry, then that usually gives me the confidence to keep loosing.. But keeping it off is the most difficult..One definetely needs to change your eating habits..we are getting rid of sodas and all refined sugar and eating more yogurt, no fast foods& more veggies..

Well i was never overweight infact i've always been fit and healthy because of good diets and extreme excersise because i was a high school football player but my older sister that 24 has been overweight since shes been in high school, she tries all these methods of dieting and pills and not to be a critic but i dont think they work as advertised. The best thing in my opinion is just excersise more and eat less portions of food... A lot of people tend to get lazy while excersise but once you pick up a routine than you will have fun noticing results in the way you look and feel about yourself and your health

All I know is that with all of these diet helps, especially all the ones that make you poop a lot, it's important to have a lot of toilet paper! I buy mine from http://www.uclean.com and save a lot of money. I specifically use the Kleenex Cottonelle found on their site. Same stuff as hotels use, and it's great price! Here's the link:

I was a little overweight after my last child was born. Since I wasn't going to have any more kids, I started dieting. I ate less, went to weight watchers, tried diet pills, low carbohydrate diets and anything else that I thought would help. I went from 135 lbs. to 205 lbs. After dieting, I would be so hungry that I would put on more weight than I lost. I also lost my health. I wish I had just cut down and not tried so many diets. I just couldn't see what I was doing to myself. There is no telling how much weight I have lost but gained it right back.

They work great in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. When you are dieting your metabolism slows down and a lot of the diet pills/thermogenics keep your metabolism reved up. They also raise your core body temperature and your body burns extra calories by trying to keep it at is normal temp. Some of them also help with utilizing fat as a energy source instead of burning up muscle and proteins as fuel. (look for a product with raspberry ketones) Well good luck to everyone in 2009!!

Wow ! Diet Pills sound easy but I am too freaked out to take them after taking them years ago. Sure I lost weight but also damaged my body doing it. I totally agree that eating every 2-3 hours and building muscle keeps your metabo burning on fire burning those calories. I just love reading everyone's comments and ideas on what they do to lose weight. I am going to order some FitFlax, that sounds interesting as the one reader posted about it. I agree with so many of you, eat less, move more. I lost over 130 lbs by doing just that and yes I've tried it all. I just kept adding new idea's and cutting certain things out ( yes I still have wine LOL ) and my life has changed in so many ways. I have a few favorite sites http://www.lowcarbsdieting.com has a ton of information on low carb diets and just idea's even if you are not doing low carb. I also love Power Max protien bars. Usually safeway or Longs will have them on sale for 10 for 10.00 which is awesome and they make quick go to meals instead of doing the drive through thing. I also like the natural way of things and like http://www.riversbendherbs.com for herb information. I also love Spark People which is great for creating diet menus etc.. I take quite a few things as far as supplements but love the parsley especially when PMS'ing. No more bloat and it's wonderful ! Thanks to everyone for posting their weight loss tips and sites, great article :)
