So much happened this weekend with so little time to discuss it all. Here is a recap of this weekend's hottest stories.Fans of the self-proclaimed 'sex kitten' Eartha Kitt remember the versatile singer, dancer and actress after her death on Christmas Day. The 81-year-old rose from modest roots in the cotton fields to become a symbol of sensuality with her famous catlike purr. From dancing cabaret to playing Catwoman in the Batman TV series, Kitt never stopped working, even up until she passed away from colon cancer on Thursday.
You can't talk about the weekend without mentioning the football games. After the latest football scores, only the best of the best made the cut and will be playing in the playoffs. To see who your favorite team is playing, check out the playoff schedule. Though the Lions aren't on their way to the Super Bowl, they are getting a lot of attention for a different reason. After losing to the Packers, Detroit became the first team in history to hold a 0-16 record. Promptly following their losses, the Lions, Jets and Browns all fired their head coaches.
You may recognize Jaimee Foxworth for her role on 'Family Matters' as Judy Winslow or you may remember her from adult films where she was known as Crave. After she traded Urkel for porn stars, the child star sought help for her marijuana addiction on 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew' and is now expecting her first child.
Former Tennessee GOP leader Chip Saltsman gave the gift of music this year for Christmas. Saltsman distributed a CD to RNC members with many parody songs, including ones about Al Gore and Barack Obama. While some got a jolly chuckle, others like GOP chairman Mike Duncan are 'shocked and appalled' at songs like 'Barack the Magic Negro.' Did we mention this jokester wants to head up the RNC next?

I was fortunate enough to sit with her for over an hour before her performance at the Pierre Hotel in the 80's, (mandy P Patti L and Tony R were performing the same evening). She was enigmatic,
her own woman in her own right, enjoyed her off and on stage. said a send up prayer when I heard the news.

I had the opportunity to massage Ms Kitt after an onstage performance of Timbuktu in Detroit, MI. We were both flattered, as she mentioned to me with much zest that she had never experienced a wonderful massage as mine. I will never forget her kindness.

EARTHA KITT WAS THE MADONNA OR BRITNEY OF THE 50s and 60s. SHE PAVED THE WAY FOR THEIR STARDOM. LEARNING TO LIKE HER TOOK TIME, IN FACT YOU EITHER LOVED HER OR DISLIKED HER, BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING ABOUT HER THAT YOU JUST COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF. I FEEL A LOSS FOR HER, EVEN THOUGH WE DIDN'T SEE MUCH OF HER RECENTLY. SHE WAS A PHENOM IN HER DAY, AND SHE WILL BE MISSED. PSO

Some of you assholes on here have trouble with anyone of colour not bowing down and catering to your dumb ass's. Miss Kitt was a wonderful entertainer and trail blazer, i'm guessing Doris Day was your ideal, or better yet Mitzi Gaynor..LOL
La Kitt, was the first woman of colour i saw on t.v. and will always remember her CATWOMAN...So MEOW to you...PPPerfect Batman.......Ya Old Queen!!!!!

I remember Eartha Kitt as Catwoman on the Batman show. She was the first black(man or woman) portraying a villan on Batman. In fact, I don't rembember very many blacks on Batman as good guys. I loved seeing her as Catwoman and her purr was better than Julie Newmar's was. Her work on the Disney movie The Emperor's New Groove and the sequel Emperor's New School was hilarious.
I also want to mention that Majel Barett Roddenberry died last week also. I heard her speak at several conventions and she was very enjoyable to listen to. Her contribution to the world of Star Trek was invaluable.
I will miss both ladies very much. They were definitely stars.

Eartha was a class act. She often spoke her mind in support of the things she believed in. She adored her fans and respected them, and they gave her back the same admiration and respect. Those that didn't like her, your loss. I don’t find it unusual that some people didn’t care for her, for she had no problem giving her opinions when asked. I’m sure that did not help her career, but it did help her to be a pioneer in the entertainment industry for black entertainers. If you never had the privilege of seeing her in a nightclub/cabaret setting I am truly sorry, for you will never know what you missed. Eartha was truly in her element in the cabaret. If you haven’t seen it you MUST get the DVD of her live at Cheltenham Jazz Festival. In spite of what you will read on the internet the DVD is Region 0 and will play on any computer. I have not tried it on a regular TV.

I remember when she went to Viet Nam. She stuck up for the enemy over our troops. She and HANOI JANE should have been tried for treason. Both were no good.I will not miss her and when Jane Fonda dies it will be a good day. Yes I am bitter. As a Viet Nam vet I have a right to be.

Eartha Kitt will be remembered whether people liked her or not. I personally thought she was good at whatever she did. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, I don't think it is nice for anyone to call her the b word. Why? First of all she was a woman, not a b----. And second of all, no one has a right to judge her but God. God Almighty is the true judge and I can guarentee you that God would not have called her that. Whatever she may have done to people, that may have been wrong, she had to answer to that. Gods word lets us all know (who reads it) For we all have to stand before the Lord on judgement day to see what works we have done (in our body whether it be good or bad). So if you don't have anything nice to say about The Late Great Eartha Kitt, then don't say anything at all.
How would you like it if soneone said that about your mother or father. Or perhaps your children, let alone your wife? How would you react to it and what would you do, what could you do or say? What has happened to forgiveness in this life. It seems as if anger and bitterness is trying to take over in this life. I thank God that he is a God of love and not hate.
P.S. Gods eyes roam to and fro throughout the earth. Not only that, he is always listening to what everyone is saying or have to say in this life.

Eartha and my fiancee's Mother were friends in Harlem during their younger days. When I was at her house she showed me pictures of them at some famous dancehall in Harlem sitting at a table looking beautiful! She'll be missed.

I MET EARTH KITT TWICE. SHE WAS A VERY HUMBLE AND GRATEFUL WOMAN. SHE REALLY APPRECIATED HER FANS. ONE TIME, SHE HAD PERFORMED AND SHE WAS NOT AT HER BEST ACCORDING TO HER. I THOUGHT SHE WAS FANTASTIC! SHE WAS A TROUPER. SHE WENT ON EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS SICK WITH A COLD OR FLU.
By gtyler4591 on Dec 29th 2008 at 8:31PM
She was the sexiest Catwoman! As a little girl I loved seeing her beautiful brown skin on TV!
By Njoya on Dec 29th 2008 at 8:35PM
I see its a lot of ignorant folk on here hatin on Ms. Kitt. When people don't have anything going for themselves or when they've been bitter at a gov't that f*cked them over like the Viet Nam vets who came back with PTSD, strung out on heroin, and out of their minds and got kicked to the curb of course they are going to talk mess aboout a positive, Black person, dead or alive. So my heart goes out to those with negative things to say about Ms. Kitt and Mr. Obama. Thier parents haven't raised them right, their failing in life so they become the "BIG PERSON" and talk crap on here about a dead person to boost their sefl esteem. It's sad but it's nothing some good therapy and medications could fix.
