You can't escape infomercials. They are all over late-night TV and sometimes they even sneak their way into prime-time commercial breaks. In truth, we love to hate them. It is amazing to watch a cloth soak up nearly a gallon of water or see a patch suck all the toxins out of your body, but deep down we know it probably doesn't truly work like that.
Love them or hate them, you are still searching for them. Check out our list of the top searched infomercials.
Not surprisingly, most of these products deal with fitness care and body image, including exercise equipment, facial skin care and diets. Number one on the top searched list is Nutrisystem, a weight loss system. These convincing commercials show people losing weight in a matter of days. If it actually works is up to you to find out. Another health-related infomercial is Dual Action Cleanse, which markets itself as a natural body cleanser meant to clean your colon.
Other than products to lose weight, other top searched 'As Seen on TV' commercials include a slow cooker made especially for pasta.

I would like to sue anybody who has Billy Mays promote their crap. I think I got carple tunnel from holding the remote so I could mute his loud mouth. That Lesko guy that sells the free government cash book that they have in any library to read for free. There isn't anything in the book that anyone would want. But we have to watch that idiot because of the money he makes to put more ads on the TV.

I was walking through Bed Bath and Beyond and saw that they have the AS SEEN ON T.V. products. I found some I love and some I hate ...the good thing about it is that you return the ones that don't work! No shipping or handling plus I use my 20% off coupon! Awesome!

I have been very interested in the shamwow product. I might still buy it some day. I got hooked buying a vacume that was a very cheap knock off of a rainbow vacume and boy did I ever regret it! It was so cheaply made and it killed my back!
I must say that the Cricut is all that it tells you it is. I have one and use it all the time in my scrapbooking as well when helping my kids with their school projects! Just remember that you can buy one cheaper at Wal-Mart or a local scrapbooking store. The way they promote the machine on TV looks like you make one payment of $69.00. but that isn't the way it goes. So always read the small print!!

I also won't buy anything that is being marketed by Billy Mays! That man is obnoxious! When I see him or hear his voice, I automatically mute the channel or leave the channel. He is just awful!

I bought the Iron Gym. Looked good on the ad....that should have tipped me off. The thing was uneven when it was assembled (and I did what they included on the instructions), also they "forget" to tell you that a "counterbalance" is included and must be put into the door frame. Live and learn, eh?

Don't order anything from the Video Professor. The add on late night TV claims you will get a program of you choice for $4.95+$2.00 S&H. Fine. I recieved the program I ordered plus 2 more discs (not ordered)with the initial shipment. 3 weeks later I rec'd. an additional shipment from Video Professor. I refused that shipment at the post office. In the meantime my CC had been charged $189.95. Have contacted the company (not an easy thing to do), and they "are looking into it". DO NOT ORDER FROM VIDEO PROFESSOR.

Most are junk, but I swear by BARE MINERALS. I don't buy from the info/commercials. I have a Bare Essentuals store at a nearby mall that I patronize.

I bought the magic jack from one of those too good to be true tv infomercials.Maybe some people like theirs and thinks it is great but the one I got was junk. It worked pretty good for the first month or so. Now I am having nothing but problems and can rarely even use it and if I can get a call in I get disconnected within a few minutes. There is no one you can talk to on the phone all they have is "live help" What a joke!Everytime I have been on live help I get switched to at least 3 to 4 different people,The last time I was there I had been switched to 8 different people and the last guy had me doing a bunch of stuff and he said he would wait until I let him know I was finished.Yea right! When I finished all the stuff I saw that he had came back and said I noticed that you haven't said anything are you still needing help and when I responded he disconnected. This was about an hour into the live help session and all the stuff they had me do didn't help. They also said I might need to buy something to give my computer a bigger boost.Funny they don't mention this on the commercials.

I think everyone should boycot Billy Mays and the guy that does the ShamWow commercail. If enough people ignore them perhaps they will go away! One item worth mentioning is Debbie Meyer Green Bags, they are GREAT TDhey keep things like leetuce, bananas, and other items far longer than any other way I have found.

though i have never considered advertising the tv commercial for my invention, patent pending, plastic hanger valets. i now see that i probably should, seeing how many folks have posted here tonight. but i thought that doing a tv commercial would probably drive up the per item price due to high costs, my site HangerValet.com could use that extra traffic for sure!

Infomercial are annoying anyway and I cannot believe that at late night I have to pay my cable bill for this, When there is a ton of Great Old movies they could be showing instead of Advertising this CRAP, I don't want to pay for those Informercial-Give me back my T.V.
As for the Informercials themselves, I wouldn't buy them off T.V anyway, alot of stores carry the products now.
I own the
ONION CHOPPER-Fabulous and Fast & Easy-GET ONE!! MAGIC BULLET-Comparable item at JCP and it works AWESOME and much cheaper-GET ONE!!
PED EGG- Great Item too, buy it at a store
SLUSH EASE-Slushie Machine, this is so fun and makes Great drinks
COTTON CANDY MACHINE-Another Fun item, but very messy

The IronGym is not new. I had one back in the mid-90's when I was a military recruiter. It wore out from all of the use it received. I bought another one after seeing the ad on TV and am once again pleased with the product. I use it every other day to supplement my at home workouts and it is very sturdy, does not damage your door frame and supports my 230 lbs frame easily. The counterbalance piece that is now included with the product is really a safety measure that insures that IF the bar does slip off the door frame that you won't crash to the floor in a heap...although, I have never had this happen to me. I read that someone else here purchased this product and didn't like it...but, as for me...well, just label me a satisfied customer.
