I found Melatrol online http://www.melatrol.com/?aid=854568 and it really helps me sleep Melatrol Natural Sleep Aid is made with Melatonin and other natural ingredients. Melatonin works with your own body to support its natural sleep cycle It's combined with natural herbs to encourage relaxation.
Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the body to establish your circadian rhythm (natural sleep cycle.) It’s the hormone that helps you to feel sleepy, close your eyes, and then slip easily into peaceful, deep sleep.
No one knows why the body doesn’t always produce enough melatonin every evening. Stress is certainly a factor. Caffeine, alcohol, irregular sleep patterns of night workers, and excitement just before bedtime, are all contributors.
Even too much light in your room and watching TV before bed will affect your ability to sleep properly.
Melatrol helps you reestablish regular sleep patterns, so you'll wake up feeling ready to take on the world. http://www.melatrol.com/?aid=854568

I used to have a drink to help me fall asleep. The one drink then led to two and then to more and sure I would fall asleep, but then I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to sleep.
What has helped me with sleeping has been getting on a regular schedule, not watching tv in bed and getting my weight stable.
I strive to eat healthy and lead by example for my daughters. I eat flax every morning for health and weight loss reasons. I have the same breakfast now every day. I recently lost 30 pounds following the
weight watchers program http://www.weightwatchers.com and I now just
am more watchful every day of what I eat. I have a banana low fat yogurt with golden roasted flax for breakfast every day. It is filling, keeps me regular and tastes fabulous (kinda like sesame seeds). My Weight Watchers leader recommended fitflax to me and it definitely helped the last 10 pounds to melt off. It is low carb and low cal. It is a flax and chia blend and I think I read about it in O mag. They also listed a code to get 15% off. The site is http://www.fitflax.com and the code for 15% off is
FIT15

I occasionally have a hard time falling asleep. I found out about Melatrol http://tinyurl.com/Melatrol With Melatrol, you won't have that that dull, "hung-over" feeling the next day. Instead, you'll wake up feeling refreshed and rested.
As your body re-establishes its natural sleep cycle, you'll find you can sleep more easily. You won't become addicted to Melatrol in order to get to sleep.
All the ingredients are safe.

I have struggled with insomnia off and on for most of my adult life. This has been, in part, due to depression, and, more recently, menopausal symptoms like hot flashes. I have always been hesitant to use a sleep drug for fear of side effects and becoming addicted. I have tried a few natural remedies, but nothing seemed to make a difference.
http://tinyurl.com/SleepSoGood
When I heard about Sleep So Good, I was first of all impressed with the fact that it has a simple line up of safe ingredients which don't interfere with any of the medications I take. When I take 2 capsules before bedtime, I find that I am much more relaxed and can fall asleep more quickly and easily.
http://tinyurl.com/SleepSoGood
Also, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I am able to fall right back to sleep. And, I like the fact that I don't feel groggy in the morning. After taking the capsules for a few nights, I decided to try one night without it. When I didn't take Sleep So Good, I didn't sleep so good! I could definitely tell a difference! The results are subtle, but effective. It's a relief to be able to take something that's safe and helps me get a good night's sleep! http://tinyurl.com/SleepSoGood

I have tried everything, and believe it or not Acai berries have helped tremendously. I no longer need to take anything but the berries which aid in a lot more things.

I used to take Ambien to try and fall asleep. It did help but the next day I was Groggy. I then tried over the counter and bought Unisom . I now sleep very well and get up ready to take on the new day.

I used Ambien CR & it was deadly I slept walked &
did a header into the bathtub & had a hematoma popped
up on my shin it was terrible, three trips to the ER & 6 months in wound care & my leg will never be the
same it was so deep down to the bone it killed the
skin tissues so healed with a terrible scar..the
nurses said they cringe when people tell them they
fell or had the accident while on ambien so I told my
Dr I would not recommend that I slept good but paid
a terrible price using that product. I than used herbial tea & it worked & have no problem sleep today.

Would acupuncture help insomnia?
By Karen on Oct 29th 2008 at 2:26PM
Hi, I'm 22. I have had trouble sleeping through most of my childhood, into my teen years, and now. I know that some of it is in my families genetics or what ever you want to call it. But a lot of it stems from things happening to me as a child all the way to my adult years. When I do fall asleep it's normally after laying in bed 1 to 3 hours after I lay down. I'm up and down all night. I have horrible dreams when I CAN sleep which lead to anxiety attacks that wake me up... Or some doctors are calling it night terrors. This has been going on for a long time. My doctor perscribed me Valium to try to help me sleep, and sometimes it helps, other night I have these same problems and I'm up and down 5 or 6 times. It's beginning to drive me crazy. Should I try another medicine, or should I try some type of natural alternative? Help

Still waiting to hear about acupuncture!

I exercise at 8 or 9 at night and have to be asleep by midnight. Usually a workout will last between 2-2.5 hrs, so when I am done I will shower and stare at the ceiling until 2 or 3 am because I am so wired from exercise. I found this anti-energy drink called Drank (www.drankbeverage.com) and it is awesome. The first time I tried it I drank the whole can (2 servings) and was asleep in 15 minutes. I got the best sleep I have had in a year.
If you find it in a store near you, give it a try. It has melatonin, rose hips, and valarian root in it. My dad even tried it and said it knocked him out in 30 minutes.

Ambien is the best drug that I've ever taken, for insomnia. It works fast! Taking more than directed will make you wish that you hadn't. If you awaken, halfway through the night, ask your doctor if you can take half at bedtime and half later, if you should wake up.
Kava and cannabis are the only herbs, which I have found to be effective. Very large doses of the weaker herbs can work, though.
Calcium and magnesium, especially magnesium, are two important minerals, which help a lot!
Avoiding caffeine and other stimulants, 6 hours before bedtime will help, too.
A quiet, dark room is important, regardless of what you take.
Last, but certainly not least, prayer helps when any or all of the above, are not available. I can plainly remember having prayer work, just as good or better than Valium, when I was experiencing severe anxiety.
