Finally, the time that we've all been waiting for has arrived: the end of rising gas prices. Thanks to a drop in the price of crude oil, drivers have been overjoyed to see lower gas prices on gas station billboards. Prices have dropped to be about the same as they were this time last year, but they feel so much cheaper compared to the high gas prices we were paying earlier this year. Now you don't have to worry about trading your car in for one that gets better automobile gas mileage, just look out for cheap gas at a station near you. You may be wondering where you can find these low gas prices. Check out our list of the top searched gas stations on AOL Search.
Number one on our top searched list, Shell, puts cleaning agents in their gasoline to help prevent gunk from building up in your engine. For your car it means a healthier engine, and for you it often means better fuel efficiency. I've noticed that my car gets the best gas mileage when I fill up with Shell.
Still looking for the cheapest gas prices? Gas suppliers located near each other often compete for the lowest gas prices to drive customers to their pumps. You benefit from this competition, so do a quick gas price comparison before heading to the pump.
Search for cheap gas on AOL Search and then type in your zip code. We will show you which gas stations have the cheapest gas in your area.

Shell gas cheapest? NOT around here! They are the most expensive of all. As for additives, EVERY gas company puts additives in their gas. Every company around here has added ethanol to the gas. It sucks! Get lower mileage with every tankful. Now that price has dropped, I hope they eliminate it. If price of a barrel of oil has gone from $147.00 to below $70.00, how come the price isn't half of what it was?

You left off your ballot the three least expensive gasoline retailers: Wal-Mart (2.22/gal), Sam's (2.21/gal) and Costco (not sure current price). Shell is the most expensive here in San Angelo.

When I type in the zip code for Concord, you do not include Concord Gas at 686 Elm Street which is consistently the cheapest gas available in the town. Their telephone number is 978 287 4600.

Hess offers a credit card for their gas. You receive a 10% discount for the first three months on all purchases at a Hess station. After 3 months, you receive 5% for the life of the card. You can also receive 1% when you use the card anywhere else. We have saved quite a bit of money strictly using this card for gas. Doesn't seem to be a better deal out there!

None of the above. Arco is the cheapest here in Oregon.

What we have to remember is that still the less we drive the more gas will go down. Maybe it wil stay down by Thanksgiving.

As long as there're two gas-men in the White House you shouldn't expect a 50% drop at the pumps!

Come on...We travel all over the country and Shell is consistantly the most EXPENSIVE gas to be found. Like it or not Walmart's "Murphy USA" gas stations are always the cheapest out there. It's a love/hate relationship with Walmart but we find the diesel and gas prices are almost always at least 1 cent cheaper than anywhere else in any given town. Flying J's are usually prettey good too, but it's a hassle getting in and out.

there is a gulf gas station by me and it has the cheapest around. BP has almost 10 cents higher than it and a Shell still had $3.30 when this gulf had $2.99

I often find Costco to have the best gas prices in my area...definately worth the $50. membership. I save that much a year in my gas purchases alone, not to mention the 3% rebate check I get back from my Costco Am. Exp. card on my gas purchases, or my savings during the year on my warehouse purchases.

SAM'S HAS IT FOR$2.659,I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY CRIST DO NOTHING TO STOP THE ABUSE OF MANY STATIONS,LIKE BUSS DID LAST YEAR,WHEN THEY STOP RAISING THE PRICE WHEN HE STAR INVESTIGATING THE PRIFITS?

DON'T BUY EXXON GAS!!!
They STILL haven't cleaned up their Valdez oil spill mess and are counter-suing people who file lawsuits who were injured or lost wages, as a stall tactic.
Your dollar is your vote - send a clear message to this unscrupulous company by not buying their gas!
