Need a boost of energy? A cup of coffee and a can of caffeinated soda are considered "old school" now when it comes to getting your mid-day energy boost. From Red Bulls to the Starbucks Doubleshot, energy drinks are becoming so popular that I'm beginning to wonder, does anyone sleep?
While I've never had an energy drink myself, I have noticed as hundreds of different energy drink brands hit the grocery store shelves, and I've started to wonder, do these really work? They must work if people are still purchasing them, leading to the continuation of the energy drink craze.
Out of the variety of energy drinks out there, Red Bull takes the lead as the most commonly searched for energy drink. Other popular energy drinks include Monster, Rockstar, and Jolt. All of these drinks are developed to increase mental and physical exertion, but many people use them simply to stay awake.
Remember to drink in moderation. In the US, energy drinks have been linked to nausea, abnormal heart rhythms, and emergency room visits. Of course, you can always stick to the traditional cup of coffee, diet coke, or even some chocolate milk as an energy boost.
Do you know of any good energy drinks that did not make our list? If so, please tell us about them. Looking for an energy boost? Try searching for energy drinks on AOL Search or to purchase some energy drinks check out AOL Shopping.

You forgot to mention B-52.
It comes in a small can (same size as Red Bull)
and has almost exactly the same ingredients
in almost the same proportions as Red Bull.
The biggest difference is the price (only 99 cents a can (half the price of Red Bull). Actually here in New York City where Red Bull ranges from 2 - 3 dollars a can, it's less than half price.
In my opinion, it taste better than Red Bull because it doesn't leave any aftertaste.
I like to drink it when I stay up late writing songs on my Kalimba http://www.HughTraceyKalimba.com
Cheers!

Hello, you are missing one of the best energy drinks out there. It's called the "Bull-It", and unlike the other ones, it doesn't make you visit emergency rooms, and give you irregular heart rhythms!!!
Why don't you just Bull-It then...

One very good energy drink is NOS by Coke. It comes in Blue bottles that sometimes have an extra cap on them to make them look like bottle of NOS. Very nice citric passionfruit taste to it and really does give you one heck of an energy boost.

Your research showed the most popular searched energry drinks, however it is not in correlation to the most-purchased energry drinks. There is one drink hidden in between Red Bull and Monster, in consumer popularity. This energy drink is XS. With no sugar, twelve flavors, 0g of carbs, and 8 calories or less, it's no wonder this brand is almost as popular as Red Bull. If you're reading this and want to learn more, head to http://twilliams58.qhealthzone.com/ or send me an email to learn more about XS energy drinks, a better alternative to Red Bull or Monster.
