I had never been much of a coffee drinker until my trip to Hawaii last year. While I was there I discovered the delicious and rich flavors of Kona coffee, only available from the Hawaiian Islands. Since then, just the smell of fresh coffee beans or coffee brew makes my mouth water.Coffee drinkers are a dedicated bunch. They set their automatic Cuisinart coffee maker to brew their morning coffee the same way they set their alarm to wake them up in the morning. Or they stop at their favorite coffee franchise, like Starbucks, every morning on their way to work.
I don't need too much caffeine in the morning, so I like to stick with my one cup coffee maker. Though I like my Keurig coffee maker, I thought it would be nice to try some other types of coffee. I decided to get some suggestions by looking at what kinds of coffee people are searching for on AOL Search.
For a special treat, I am excited to try some of the gourmet coffee that showed up on the top searched list. Number seven, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, has regional exclusivity like Kona coffee and a deliciously unique flavor. Gevalia Coffee carries a wide variety of gourmet flavors and roasts, including seasonal flavors. I was also interested in getting some green coffee beans and roasting my own coffee. What could be fresher?
If I need a cup of joe on the go, drive thru coffee, like Dunkin Donuts, is the fastest and I can get some breakfast. Green Mountain Coffee, number one on the list, is also great with food and is served at a lot of restaurants because they sell wholesale coffees.
There are so many choices. What is your favorite type of coffee? Leave a comment and let us know! Find out about more types of coffee on AOL Search and locate a coffee shop near you with AOL Yellow Pages.

Wwhen I moved here four years ago I was disappointed that there wasn't a nearby Starbucks. However, there was a local coffee shop in Carmel IN called Hubbard and Cravens...oh my!Smoothest, most perfect cup of coffee EVER!!

I'm going to try Jane's Banana Low Fat yogurt with flax for breakfast. That sounds good!I also agree that Starbucks coffee tastes burnt. It's over rated. I like the taste of Splenda but don't like it's chemistry. I think it has the same effect on your glycemic processing as sugar. I am taking l-carnasine to help with glycation that comes from eating sugars.

Yep, Starbucks always tastes burnt, or like they put chickory in the bean blend. I live in Tamapa, Fl. and for the best cup of coffee on the go, INDIGO COFFEE, makes the smoothest, nuttiest cup out there. I have to disagree with most, I don't care for Dunkin Donuts. The absolute best "treat" coffee is Jamaican Blue Mountain, with a close second being authentic Kona. Beware, as I am sure all of my fellow Coffee fanatics already know, If a label reads "Kona Blend", "Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend" it only needs to include one bean of said brand to be called a blend. So even though, Jamaican Blue Mountain is nearly $50 a pound, once in a while I get myself a bag and enjoy it (all by myself, one of the few things I won't share) on a quiet Sunday Morning. It is too precious for everyday coffee, then almost any brand's "breakfast blend" gives me the smooth and nutty cup of coffee I crave!

Starbucks helped the US refocus on quality coffee.
There are hundreds of great roasters around that roast amazing coffee.
Get rid of the Cuisanart...use a Bunn! It makes the perfect pot of coffee.

Try Illy from Bella Italia- expensive but possibly the best espresso in the world.p.s. for all the diet tips out there- here's the one that works: eat lots less and get yourself moving- get out of that car and start walking.

Seattle's Best is all it's name implies. Breakfast blend is wonderful. Also, coffee gourmets, remember to try Barnie's Hawaiian Kona and Christopher Bean pumpkin pie for the holidays. Don't want to pay those high prices, Community Between Roast is great and is "still one pound". Love 8 o'clock. Ahh! Coffee, one of life's best pleasures.

Are all you people still falling for the Starbucks scam? If you really want to smell the aroma and taste the real flavor of coffee you should visit your local Supermarket and make a beeline for the "Hispanic" section. Look for any Puertorican, Cuban, Dominican or Caribbean finely ground coffe. Here are some brands to look for. Rico, Bustelo, Caracolito, Estrella and some others in the same shelf. Not only will they tickle your taste buds but will be easy on your pocketbook because you will not need to use a large amount of grounds to get the same consistency needed for a great cup of joe. Try it, you'll be surprie at the satisfying aroma and flavor you'll get. Bon Appetit.

Yep, Starbucks always tastes old and burnt, or as I believe, they put chickory in their blend. I am a devoted coffee lover who lives in Tampa, Fla. and for the best cup of coffee on the go, INDIGO COFFEE, makes the smoothest cup out there (although I have to say starbucks frozen coffees are better). I also agree with most of you, authentic Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is the best I have ever had, with Hawaiin Kona coming in a somewhat distant second. Beware, though, as all of my fellow coffee fanatics already know, if a bag of coffee says "Jamaican Blue Mountain BLEND" or "Kona BLEND" very little of the premium coffee beans are required to be in the blend!!!! Because Jamaican Blue Mountain is approximately $50/LB., it is definately my treat at the end of a long week. I enjoy the delectable flavor(all by myself, one of the few things I don't share) on a quiet Sunday Morning. The other days of the week, a good brand's "Breakfast Blend" gives me the smooth, light, and nutty cup of heaven I crave!!

I have made the trek to the Big Island of Hawaii for the coffee, to the mountains of Jamaica, lived in Seattle when Starbuck's was a one shop operation and countless times since it was a one world operation which I now think it tastes like it is burnt half the time, had coffee from way too many Caribou's after they put the local coffee shop out of business, enjoyed the coffee from Peets that my partner used to get shipped in on a regular basis from the west coast and his new favorite from where ever he gets this, I think Portland, had the Dunkin Donuts coffee and it is better than most, had the WaWa coffee on trips to New Jersey-very good as well, tried many shade grown and organic coffees but my favorite is Mcgarvey's brand Flame Room Blend...YUM. It is mellow, crisp, smooth and full flavor.

Haven't found anything as good as Starbuck's Espresso Shots. I guess I like my coffee "burnt." In my opinion the whole "barista magic" is what has been lost at Starbuck's. They hired so many people for expansion and that created a lot of idle time while they were waiting for more stores to open; and what followed was a lot of gossip about customers and other workers. The barista became an employee and the magic was lost. But the coffee? Still the best.

I'm glad they closed a bunch of Lot$abuck$ shops as we went there once & that was enough! Rude servers, overpriced burnt tasting so called "coffee". YUK! My Hubby & I are satisfied with Dunkin' & 8 'O Clock & Trader Joe's has a Whole Bean "Smooth & Mellow" blend that is terrific! We drink about a dozen cups of Joe a Day & I make 2 pots in my Cuisinart Grind & Brew. We've gone thru about 6 coddeemakers, but it's a good habit. Besides: Java is OK health wise!

I'm not that much of a coffee drinker, but i do have my favorites! Green Mountain is definately my favorite to brew. next would have to be D&D! I love to drink my coffee cold..i'm wierd i know. My husband jokes that i have too much coffee with my sugar. but i really don't use that much anymore. ;)
I also actually like the Archer Farms brand of flavored coffee. i won't go out of my way to buy a cup of coffee when i can brew a good cup at home. but if i'm out and want a treat, i'll buy an iced/frozen coffee treat from D&D or if there's none close..starbucks.

I meant 6 COFFEEMAKERS"! Hmm.I need a booster cup right NOW! My Husband also uses the leftover cold coffee for a satisfying "shake" with Sugar Free Vanilla Ice Cream/SF Caramel & SF Hershey's. MMM!

I am a chef and journalist with 50 years experience. McDonalds get my vote. Brewed fresh and hot& served in a look-a-like Starbucks container. Aromatic! Would like to see this coffee sold in local stores. Right now the cost of gas, to get to McDonalds, is worth every penny or should I say $?
