I had never been much of a coffee drinker until my trip to Hawaii last year. While I was there I discovered the delicious and rich flavors of Kona coffee, only available from the Hawaiian Islands. Since then, just the smell of fresh coffee beans or coffee brew makes my mouth water.Coffee drinkers are a dedicated bunch. They set their automatic Cuisinart coffee maker to brew their morning coffee the same way they set their alarm to wake them up in the morning. Or they stop at their favorite coffee franchise, like Starbucks, every morning on their way to work.
I don't need too much caffeine in the morning, so I like to stick with my one cup coffee maker. Though I like my Keurig coffee maker, I thought it would be nice to try some other types of coffee. I decided to get some suggestions by looking at what kinds of coffee people are searching for on AOL Search.
For a special treat, I am excited to try some of the gourmet coffee that showed up on the top searched list. Number seven, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, has regional exclusivity like Kona coffee and a deliciously unique flavor. Gevalia Coffee carries a wide variety of gourmet flavors and roasts, including seasonal flavors. I was also interested in getting some green coffee beans and roasting my own coffee. What could be fresher?
If I need a cup of joe on the go, drive thru coffee, like Dunkin Donuts, is the fastest and I can get some breakfast. Green Mountain Coffee, number one on the list, is also great with food and is served at a lot of restaurants because they sell wholesale coffees.
There are so many choices. What is your favorite type of coffee? Leave a comment and let us know! Find out about more types of coffee on AOL Search and locate a coffee shop near you with AOL Yellow Pages.

Gevalia - very good. Starbucks - nasty. I have never tried Green Mountain, but will have to do so.
The best "every day" coffee I have ever had is Silverhook, an Alaskan coffee. The best "special time" coffee is Raven's Brew, also from Alaska. Even if you don't buy their coffee, at least visit their website and check out the awesome artwork and unique names for each blend.

Do You Folks Like Coffee? Asks Nathan Explosion of Dethklok in the Duncan Hills coffee jingle on Metalocalypse. As a former member of a Coffee Punk band I can tell you we didn't always *read nearly never) have the money for Jamaican Blue Mountain. So we drank The Red Lighting! Guatemalan Antigua! Unlike The Blue, which is mostly bought up by the Japanese every year, The Red is readily available in whole bean wherever Starbucks is sold. And at about one third the price. So you can use it as an everyday brew.

Trader Joe's French Roast. I like to lace it with Folgers, Maxwell, whatever.
Nice and rich used alone, but I have to make it last....no Trader Joe's nearby.
I am pretty sure it only comes in beans.

Starbucks French Roast for everyday in MY coffeemaker, not brewed in the store. Before that I bought 8 O'Clock like Jennifer. DD puts cream in their coffee to make it taste good and they need it. I agree that Starbucks coffees taste burnt when bought at their store. The absolute best is Jamaica Blue Mountain and Ray's Cafe in Philly makes the best coffee if you're in the city. JBM is a treat, but too pricey considering most places charge at least 50 dollars a pound!

I drink coffee like crazy. When out and about, and my travel mug runs out, I end up stopping somewhere for a cup. :) Ugh I don't know whose coffee is worse...McDonald's or Dunkin Donuts. I loathe them both. I also avoid Starbucks, but do end up there on occasion. For a plain old good cup of coffee while on the road, nothing beats Wawa coffee. No fancy syrups/flavors and whipped cream drizzled with caramel, but my favorite is their regular coffee with some Irish Cream creamer thrown in. MMMMMMM I love the stuff.

I was recently introduced to coffee from Honduras. I have never tasted a better coffee in my entire life. I can't find it on any shelf at a supermarket or even a specialty store. If you find it, you will agree with me. Mark

ten years ago when we really had to tighten our budget a old farmer told me to try 8 o'clock coffee I use to get the fancy coffees from around the world from a coffe club spending about 150.00 a month in a coffee club. 8 o'clock columbian blend is the best. I haven't changed since. I do alot of entertaining at home and everybody can't wait for morning coffee at our house. They always ask the same question I tell them the name but I think it is because it has no fancy packaging that they skip right over it

Cafe Bustello - yellow can of Cuban blend for Cafe Cubanos and Cortados - a pungently rich flavor. Can be found in most grocery stores across the country.

As one who accumulates "frequent flyer miles" from coffee on a regular basis, I sampled a lot of whole bean coffees for home use. Best ever: http://www.tesdelsol.com
This is "green" coffee (shade grown [no rainforest removed], chemical free for 10+ years) from Costa Rica. Mild enough to drink all day long, flavorful. I like the Traditional Roast, there is also a Dark Roast I have used for espresso.
Coffee from Tesoros Del Sol (land of the sun) is transshipped from St. Louis these days. My original orders arrived direct from Costa Rica in cardboard boxes turned inside out & held together with duct tape. This comes from a growers cooperative, the farmers get a lot more of the $$ than typical growers do. What's not to love?

I'm in the Triangle, and down here no one can touch Larry's Beans! Every blend is great and the espresso is my favorite! Plus it's organic and fair trade. If you ever have the chance, check it out

How could anyone leave out Waffle House Coffee from their Top Ten List?

How can anyone compare Jamaican Blue Mountain to any other coffee.
If you can afford it buy it, you will never be sorry!!!

I love Gloria Jean's for flavored coffees. The Cafe L'Orange and Pumpkin Spice are delightful especially during the winter months. Their Blue Mountain coffee is spectacular, but at over $50 a pound it isn't something I drink on a regular basis. We have Green Mountain here at work and I enjoy the French Roast and Nantucket Blend for a regular coffee. I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks, but I do enjoy their flavored mochas and lattes during the holiday months. Coffee is a personal thing, so whatever you enjoy is obviously the best coffee for you!

Hi All,
I love Flyingbeans.com's coffees. Especially in holidays, mix it with little eggnog & one will feel to be at nineth cloud. So far I have tried Brandy Alexander, Kaluha almond mocha, Carmel. Part of my family only drinks decaf but on mass market shelves the variety in decafs are pretty limited. Flying beans.com carries all their flavors in decaf too. Cofee lovers must try it.
Thank you.

I'm telling you folks, the best coffee you can buy at the best price is in downtown Newark, New Jersey, about a half block from City Hall. Its called, T.M.Ward Coffee and they sell whole bean, Portuguese, right out of a barrell for $4.00 a pound! I'm about to have a couple of cups right now!

Good ole Eight o' Clock French Roast Whole Bean is absolutely the best and the cheapest. I grind it about every morning fresh and it is so good. I keep the beans in the freezer to insure freshness. You can't beat it. I've tried the so called "best" ones and they can't beat it.

I'm going to try Jane's Banana Low Fat yogurt with flax for breakfast. That sounds good!I also agree that Starbucks coffee tastes burnt. It's over rated. I like the taste of Splenda but don't like it's chemistry. I think it has the same effect on your glycemic processing as sugar. I am taking l-carnasine to help with glycation that comes from eating sugars.
