My two-year cell phone contract ends in September and I am currently beginning the search for a new mobile phone. I am really happy with my cell phone service provider; however, I'm not so happy with the limited number of phones that they offer. Therefore, I am more than willing to change service providers in order to get what I want in my next mobile phone.
There are so many cool phones out there today with features such as wifi, bluetooth, touch screens, cameras, email, music players, and much more. While all of these features seem amazing, I need to be realistic about what features I will actually use so that I don't spend an arm and a leg on my next cell phone. My biggest priority as far as features go in my cell phone is wifi and email so that I can stay connected no matter where I am. But, limiting my search to just these two features still isn't making my decision that much easier.
Whether your cell phone contract is over or your phone has just hit the fritz, choosing your next cell phone is not always an easy task. Service providers, phone features, and price all add to the complications of choosing a cell phone. So, how do you decide?
Like most of my other big money spending decisions, I turned to the AOL Searchers to help me out. It was not a surprise that with its release in July, the Apple iPhone 3G has become the most searched for phone on AOL Search. Another popular phone is the RIM Blackberry Curve which offers several Blackberry accessories. Other popular phones include the Palm Treo and the Motorola RAZR.
Once you have picked a cell phone, the decisions don't end there. Cell phone companies provide several ways for you to pay for your cell phone service, such as pay as you go and prepaid plans.
Do you know of any mobile phones that didn't show up on our list? If so, please tell us about them. Are you looking for a new cell phone? Try searching cell phones on AOL Search or check out Switched for more information. To get some awesome mobile features on your phone, check out AOL Mobile.

I found an amazing online discount cell phone superstore http://www.tmicell.com/?aid=33388 They have the best prices on phones, in fact, most are free when you sign up for a decent calling plan. Why would I ever want to fight the traffic and pay for gas to get a phone myself when this place is cheaper, they have the largest selection I've ever seen, they take my order online and they have FREE SHIPPING too?

This place has just about every phone made and calling plans with every major cellular company, as well as the LOWEST prices ever.
http://discountcellphonesuperstore.com/ Their prices seem to low to be legal, but of course they are. :)It's easier when you can compare all the phones and all the calling plans right on your computer screen and then get the phones you picked out shipped free to your door. I got 4 phones there in the past 6 months, for all of my kids, and we couldn't be happier. http://discountcellphonesuperstore.com/ It really is a discount superstore with the convenience of online ordering

I love my iphone. I bought it directly at apple.com, and would not dream of buying anywhere else! But I paid for it through a discount mall that gives you anywhere from 5-50% back in cash from your purchases. The site is http://www.fatcrumbs.com

I've had a cell phone since 1998 and two different wireless providers. First I had Sprint PCS, which I found had it's good and bad points. The good news was
that I could go as I paid, without having to sign a contract at all. However, I found it to be expensive, had limited coverage areas (at that time),
and had lousy customer service. 6 years later, my phone broke, so my husband and I set out to find a new cell phone for me and we ended up going with Verizon Wireless.. The down side was I had to sign a two year contract to get the phone that I wanted, but on the other hand, it wasn't as expensive as Sprint. Also, the coverage was awesome! So far, I've only had two calls dropped. 2! Wow! I had an ok phone, but three years later it broke so we went back out to find another phone. This time, the sales guy was very pushy, and I could just tell he was trying to make an easy sale with us. I ended up buying the Motorolla Razzorr (sp?) phone he was suggesting, but I ended up loving the phone, and of course I still loved the great customer service, coverage and price of Verizon Wireless...
