Have you ever had a health problem that you were too embarrassed to talk about? You are not alone. It is hard to bring up serious health concerns, especially the ones that make you blush just thinking about them. Some things are meant to be kept private, but that doesn't mean you can ignore your health issues. We are bringing these types of problems out in the open with our list of the top searched embarrassing health concerns.Though it can be intimidating to bring up your secret health problems to a relative stranger, your doctor should be the first person you turn to when facing an illness, no matter how embarrassed you are. Remember: they see tons of patients and probably have seen your same problem many times before. No matter how ashamed you are, it is important for the health of you and others to get symptoms of contagious illnesses, such as herpes symptoms, examined before it is spread to others. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, one out of five adults have been infected with genital herpes and there is no known herpes cure. It's not surprising then that it is number one on our list.
If you are still too embarrassed to see a doctor, look into over the counter medications. Some conditions can be treated with OTC medicine, but that doesn't always cure the problem and you might still have to see your doctor. Yeast Infections, number three on our list, has many different OTC treatments and cures.
You can treat other problems, such as hyperhidrosis, which is just a fancy word for excessive sweating, with more unconventional methods. If you have tried extra-strength antiperspirants, such as Drysol, and you are still having a problem, you may benefit from plastic surgery. Injections of Botox are used to disable the sweat glands in areas like your underarms.
Not all of the problems on the list are easily treated. If you are avoiding serious surgery for things such as incontinence, lifestyle changes may help make a difference. Try looking into adult incontinence supplies, such as adult diapers.

The lady with the Vaginal discomfort. I totally understand and by chance found the same cure although my solution was the added water softener (Downy) in my rinse cycle. I still use it but not in my underware cycle. Also Ladies (and for the sake of your children do not use fragrant bubble bath in bath water.

To the person w/anal itch, I just read about this online. You may have pinworms. It itches more at night b/c that's when the female lays her eggs. Make sure to trim your fingernails & stop scratching to prevent secondary infection/spreading. You can get an over-the-counter remedy for this or buy online at a reputable merchant like drugstore.com

There is no such thing as a cure, diagnosis, or treatment according to Natural Hygiene. Removal of the cause is a permanent lifestyle change. In Natural Hygiene we see thousands of cases were all 10 of the symptoms listed are effectively removed forever. Supervised all water fasting & resting by a well seasoned professional Natural Hygienist is the key to complete removal of all the symptoms listed. Once the symptom is cleansed from your listed condition, a hygienic lifestyle change of your choice is paramount for continued success. I know first hand as I have lived hygienically since 1971 & have seen the results first hand.

To the person w/anal itch, i JUST read about this online. u may have pinworms. the female lays eggs at night. trim your nails, wash your bed linens and avoid scratching as much as possible to avoid secondary infection/spreading. pinworms are relatively harmless but are easily spread so wash hands thoroughly, don't put your fingers in your mouth, and don't have anyone else in your bed. this is treatable w/an over-the-counter remedy or go online to drugstore.com if you wanna be discreet.

Betty-I just had a fissurectomy--you can look it up, but I had the same problems-extensive itching. I ended up going to a dermatologist who gave me a hydrocortisone called Desonin-or something like that whic his prescription. It helped, but the real problem you are likley to have is leakage. soak in a tub for 15 minutes 2-3 times a day which should help and put cotton in between. You should see a colo-rectal doctor in case you are having a fissure or something similar. Good luck.

I have a problem with sebaceous cysts on my scalp -- very embarrassing. I have consulted doctors since I was 19 years old I am 54 now. All of the doctors have said they have to be dug out surgically, but I have also read they can be lanced but that the cyst wall must be extracted for total success and for them not to re-grow. If I had all 6 of my cysts removed, I would have to have my head shaved. Certainly there must be another way. If anyone out there has a clue, please let me know. Thanks. I would like to not have surgery, and I also have read there is a solution which will shrink them -- using salicylic acid, etc.

To the lady with anal itching. I had that and went to several doctors over a year. It turned out I had a bigger problem called a fissure which I JUST had removed. You may be having anal leakage which is causing the itching. You may find interim relief going to a dermatologist for a prescription called Desonin-a hydrocortisone treatment. But I would go to a colo-rectal doctor to look into other issues. They'll rule out the pin worms too, I'm sure. Also, soak in a tub for 15 minutes (warm water) for 2-3 times a day--no soap and things should get better and put some cotton guaze between your cheeks to keep everything dry.

I have had vaginal pain and pain in the uretha for about 3 years. Some days its not so bad but other days quite painful. I have been to several doctors but none have found the cause. I also have Uti's and frequent yeast infections. I have been to the dr when in pain and they can't find a cause.

I once had a hemorrhoid problem OTC product did not relieve the pain and itch.
Good old aloe vera plant cured it. Just peal off the skin and put the jell right onto the inflamed area and let it stay there for a couple of minutes, and in a couple of days it is completely gone. I read this in the Enquire magazine, and it really does work.

For Bette: Sounds like pinworms possibly, where the itching is more intense at night..it is a common condition in children but anyone can get it. Ask your doctor to check you and/or write a prescription to see if it helps.

The worst decision I've ever made was to mention to my doctor what, if anything, bothered me. After telling my Dr. of the pain I had it became part of a record which is being used against me by Blue Cross/Blue Shield to rescind my health care insurance. The editorialized version of my malady as written by my Dr. was more an embellishment than a simple statement of fact. This practice is rampant because it allows the medical practitioner the ability to make something small into something that they can bill the insurance co.s more because it sounds more serious. Healthcare is in a crisis of greed.

where does "Female Orgasm Dysfunction" rank?? 33% of women have this diagnosis but few rarely address it with a professional, thus causing marital and relational complications. Where would the earths' population be if 33% of men could not orgasm?!
