These high gas prices are really becoming a nuisance. And let's be honest, my SUV does not get the best gas mileage. So, I am thinking about trading my car in for one that is a bit smaller and more fuel efficient. There are so many used cars out there that I don't even know where to start. Do I want to trade my current car in for a pre-owned car at a dealership? Used car dealerships, like Carmax, are easiest when shopping for a new car because they have a ton of cars in one spot. Then again, I don't know if I want to deal with pushy car salesmen. Also, I want to make sure I get the best trade-in value according to the blue book value for my car.
Or do I want to find a car for sale by a private owner? My only reservation with buying a car this way is that I might get a lemon. If I finally decide on a used car, I'll have to make sure I get a history report, like from Carfax, to make sure there is no unseen damage.
While my used car search is in progress, I thought I would look at which used cars AOL users are searching for. Used Hondas came in at the top, which could be a great switch from my SUV. I'm not in a rush, so I'll wait and see what I can find.
Are there any used cars that you would recommend? Let me know! You can search for used cars too on AOL Search or check out AOL Auto.

There are no 'pushy' salesmen at CarMax, shopping is no hassle and no haggle. They give you a vehicle history report and you get a money back guarantee with no strings. Why takes chances anyplace else?
