Weekends are always eventful, and this last one was no exception. Here's a quick recap of this weekend's highlights.In the world of sports, Antonio Margarito won the World Boxing Association title at an impressive welterweight match-up Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Margarito kept the pressure on his opponent Miguel Cotto until he finally surrendered his unbeaten record in the 11th round.
Jimmie Johnson is excited to have won Sunday's race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but fans were not too excited to watch. Goodyear and NASCAR were left to explain why tires could not withstand more than 10 laps, which, among the 11 yellow flags, made the race's longest green-flag run only 12 laps.
This weekend required caution off the race track as well. Cockpit smoke caused Southwest Airlines to make an emergency landing at Baltimore-Washington International Airport. The smoke was believed to be caused by fire, but later turned out to be due to a faulty fan. Smoke did signal a fire at Yosemite National Park, where a blaze continues to run rampant near the park's entrance and has destroyed several homes already.
On the gossip wire, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt say they want to have more kids. But will they be able to? The most recent additions to their family are rumored to have been conceived through in vitro fertilization. Family times aren't that great at Sarah Jessica Parker's house. News that hubby, Matthew Broderick, may be cheating on her completely overshadowed rumors that Parker underwent cosmetic surgery to have her famous mole removed.
While we thought the job market was bad in the US, the UN announced that the Gaza Strip has the highest unemployment rate in the world at 45%. Another report also showed that poverty in the area has reached a historic high with almost 52% below the poverty line.

Sex and the City was a hit because of Kim, Kristin and Cynthia. SJP is the homliest thing on tv. She just got rid of the big wart on her face. Those poor actors that were paid to kiss her weren't paid enough. So if geeky hubby is cheating, who can blame him? He's suffered a loooong time.

Some comments are so un-kind and malicious I wonder if the writers have looked in the mirror first before they open their mouth (you think you are prettier than her??). SJP may not be that beautiful but she has her unique quality and is a good actress. Matt isn't that good-looking himself. If he fools around with other woman, it just shows his immature and irresponsible personality. Why do you think they got married at first place if they think each other was ugly?

From the lady that lived in NYC for 14 yrs. - I forgot to add my neighbor/friend was a gorgeous hi-class call girl. Believe me I know what Sex+the City is REALLY about. Ugly Jessica and the fake scenes don't impress me and not even a hoot.

Why would anyone be surprised by this so-called news? This "woman" plays a whore on a TV show dedicated to decadent, Hellish whores. Does she deserve sympathy because her husband exhibits a desire for other women? No! A slut or whore deserves the repercussions from their chosen "lifestyles". I'm surprised her marriage lasted this long; I wouldn't stay with her or anyone like her!

I was wondering why do we even care? She is a tv actress the past several years. Her Bitten line well let's see didn't other stars get in trouble for selling junk from foreign countries? It is cheap, because it is cheaply made and not made for even a skinny 40+ something person, maybe in NYC or LA but even then I doubt that.

This article surely has gotten them both a ton of free publicity hasn't it? Just what the celebs crave, good or bad as long as people keep talking about them. Whats the diff anyway, who cares? After all, they are only actors, not doing much of anything truly important for the humanity,country or world.

I think Sara Jessica Parker is very beautiful, I have watched Sex in the City many times, and the person in the show that stands out the most is her. Some of the other ladies may have more perfect features, but they pale in comparison to her. If a show does not have her as the main subject, it seems empty. When she is on the screen the story is happening, and intersting. She may not have the baby doll features the most the the hollywood crowd does after they visit the plastic surgeon, because she is real and she has a natural beauty. She has beautiful blue eyes, beautiful hair, and a very pleasent smile, and she can act I have seen her in many movies other than Sex in the City, and have never been dissapointed. As to how she looks, "he who could cast the first stone"....

I've been a fan of both Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker. Matthew is a JERK, if he cheated on Sarah. I hope the rumors are false, even though it's none of my business. I hope Sarah gets through this unscathed and victorious emotionally. She is one of the most wholesome, down-to-earth, positive, upbeat actresses around, with the greatest personality. Good luck to her. She deserves the best.

I don't understand why so many people seem to think SJP is unattractive. Her face (while not conventionally beautiful) has character and she has a fantastic figure. She's also wildly successful. In other words, SJP has the whole package! I wish her luck regarding this Matthew fiasco.
