A few months ago, I did a post on top searched theme parks. Many of the comments that we received requested us to provide a list of top searched water parks. With the hot weather upon us, I thought it would be the perfect way to beat the heat.As you can see from the list below Great Wolf Lodge located in Williamsburg, Virgina is at the top of the list. This giant water park is actually indoors and opened year-round. Kalahari Water Park, an authentic African themed resort located in Wisconsin and Ohio, offers an indoor and outdoor water park as well other family amenities including, go karts, bowling and even a ferris wheel 6 stories tall.
Other popular water parks included: Schlitterbahn located in Texas and Kansas, Noah's Ark located in Wisconsin and Raging Waters located in California. Also on the list are two Disney water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
Do you have a favorite water park that did not show up on our list? If so, please tell us about it. Also search for water parks on AOL Search or check out AOL Travel for special deals.

Columbus Ohio has a new water park - Zoombezi Bay. It is adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and a dry ride park called Jungle Jack's landing. It has 10 slides, a wave pool, a kids pool, action river and an adults only lazy river.

There's a new water park in Orlando. It's better than both the Disney water parks and MUCH better than Wet-n-Wild. It's called Aquatica. It is so nice. Lots of rides, lots of sandy beach and it's beautiful with all the greenery. We think it rocks and we've been to lots of water parks! Check it out!!

we just got back from Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels TX after 4 days and it was the best. We have been going there for 20+ years and I've been to a lot of other waterparks, but this is hard to beat!

Coming soon to Water Country(Not Water Country USA two different parks both opened in 1984. They put USA in their name to differentiate between the two Water Country parks. We have no affiliation with Water Country USA aside from being a fellow water park. Located in Portsmouth New Hampshire, In years to come we are getting a Stationary Wave Similar to that Water Country USA already has. Figured I'd inform everyone who wishes to know. IF anyone is working at any of these water parks that are purely outdoors, I wish you a good season free of rain.

Dolly's Splash Country here in Tennessee is awesome. It's adjacent to Dollywood (previously Silver Dollar City for those of you who are old school) here in the Smokey Mountains. Beautiful country and an AWESOME water park!

Aquatica! it just opened this year in orlando and is much better than wet-n-wild and the disney water parks because it closes when it gets to capacity and even then it isn't crowded..it even has an all you can eat buffet with great meals for only 19 for adults...i bought an annual pass and it only costs me $9 per month! I love it *****

Hasn't everyone heard of Splashin' Safari & Holiday World. It has the greatest waterpark in the world with many different rides and things to do in one place. For the cost of admission into Holiday World you get to enter Splashin' Safari and free drinks too in both parks. You need to check it out. It is located in Santa Claus, Indiana (and yes there is a town by that name in Southern Indiana)!
