I was driving down the highway the other day when I heard a blast from the past. It was Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It.' Do you remember them?I loved the '80s! Mohawk haircuts, big hair, fingerless lace gloves, leg warmers, Rubik's Cube, Shrinky Dinks, Smurfs ... the list could go on forever.
I wondered if people were as nostalgic about the '80s as I am. I decided to find out what the most popular '80s big-hair bands were on AOL Search. To my surprise, I found out many people are still curious about the '80s big-hair bands.
KISS , who formed in the '70s, were classically known for their crazy face painting but decided in the '80s to add some Aqua-net. Other bands such as Cinderella, Whitesnake and we can't forget Poison competed with them for the highest teased hair dos.
Speaking of Poison, lead singer Bret Michaels now has his own reality show called 'Rock of Love', where 25 women compete to win a date with him. The hit show just ended season two and fans are wondering ... will there be a season three? Other '80s bands such as Aerosmith and Motley Crue have toned down their hair and are still performing concerts for all their fans. Guns N' Roses is seemingly more famous these days for the album they won't release.

Many of these bands are still around.
For example, Cinderella and Warrant are going on tour
together this summer.
So is Poison, Dokken and Sebastian Bach.
( That should be a great show!)
Don't forget about Crue Fest this summer as well.

Night Ranger has been around for 25 years and still rocking! They're releasing a CD in July called "Hole in the Sun". I have the import and it is great! Gotta admit....I'm married but I still think Jack Blades is hot.

flock of seagulls? yeah whatever, how about L.A. Guns with Tracy Guns from Gun N Roses, shoot I can think of a ton a good stuff back then. How about Faster Pussy Cat, Every Mothers Nightmare, Dio, Iron Maidon, Slaughter,Loudness,Rainbow, The Cult,Skid Row, cant think but the ones who did Hate every thing about you, Oh geez the list goes on. Thanks nirvana, that music could have lasted another decade but at least we got stinky poeple with flannel shirts,terrable singing,greasy hair, one again the list goes on.

The 80's rocked. I wish I could go back but since I can't I will settle for my cd's. Even my teenage sons love 80's music better than todays music. Rock on 80's.
