rule applies to everything from your DVD collection to the items in your medicine cabinet. After rummaging through decongestants and old bottles of aspirin, I came across a bottle of Trimspa. This also just so happened to be at the time that people had started to sue Trimspa for false representation. Needless to say, that bottle of pills did not make the move to my new place. But it made me think about diet pills. Who really knows what is in them? And who really knows if they work? I have not tried any lately, but I know that I did in college. From my memory of the experience, I do not remember any miracle drugs being out there.
Maybe science has progressed and these pills are more effective now? It seems like since the release of the Alli pill and other OTC drugs, diet pills have been in the press a lot. There always seems to be a new theory about how to battle the bulge. I wanted to check out what diet pills people were looking for on AOL Search to see what is hot right now.
No shock that Alli and Phentermine top the list. I have also heard of Hoodia and Hydroxycut. But what is Relacore? And Adipex? Have you tried any of these pills?
What worked for you? Try searching for diet pills on AOL Search. Or, if diet pills aren't your thing, you can check out AOL Body for weight loss tips.

Everyone better be careful with Phentermine, it is a federally classified controlled substance and if you obtain it without a doctor's prescription etc. it is a felony and you can go to jail for simple possession or obtaining it without a prescription.

I just found Ultra 90 and have been delighted with the results--it works with repairing your muscles so that you lose weight as you sleep....just 3 gel caps a day and no aspartame. I got mine at ultra 90.com when one of my friends lost 35 pounds in 4 months.

I to have used Phentermine and boy o boy did it leave lasting effects. I was 28 and ended up with uncontrollable blood pressure. That led to a small stroke. That led to memory issues. I have always had migrains but now with the blood pressure issue, it is a full time deal. WEIGH out your options and research, research, research!

I've had my share of trying diet pills. Recently i found out what many diet pill producers fail to tell the public. Any kind of appetite supressant doens't really "make you feel full" istead it sends false signals to your brain that you are indeed full. All appetite suppressants work the same way. Alli works within your digestive system not your brain. So just think about about it.....something that messes with your brain can not be good in any way.

Just a warning to all dieters looking into these pills.
Alli is known to cause Anal Leakage and oily stools. Read the Information packets closely and well when taking these medications. It is also reccomended that some people even wear adult diapers while taking Alli. And, That While taking Alli you need Diet and Exercise for this product to work. The more Fat intake you have the Worse side effects are associated with this pill.
So my Final Note is: Why Take this pill or many other Diet pills out there if they require Diet and Exercise? Because with Diet and Exercise alone you will see results.
Good Luck to all those Curious. Do Extensive Research on Any Suppliments you add to your diet.

For what its worth, Phentermine is an amphetamine analogue (think methamphetamine, or "meth") and has a potential for abuse. It is very popular today, however there are many risks associated with it, and it should not be used for extended periods of time. To loose weight, think about the first law of thermodynamics: Energy in must equal energy out. Thus... eat less, do more.

Lipodrene Yellow Tablets and Stimerex ES Black Tablets are the best energy and weight loss pills over the counter. In addition, both products come in ephedra extract or ephedra free formulas. I have lost 78 pounds and counting. I always order from The Vanity Shoppe. Very trustworthy woman to buy from.

They only real way to lose weight and keep it off is with a diet/exercise life style change. Diet pills and other quick fixes are scams to take money from people who want to do it the easy way. Instead become responsible for what you put into your mouth and what you do with your body. If you don't want to be overweight and out of shape, then don't eat foods that do that to you and start getting exercise. Your "cure" isn't in a pill so wise up and stop being such a sucker.... you can't have it both ways unless you are one of the lucky few....but they don't need pills do they.

I am about 20lbs overweight and have been for a couple of years now.
I have just started HCG shots and have been losing about 1 1/2 lbs a day with no hunger or stress. but I didn't follow the Trudeau book instead I went directly to Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches Protocal and followed it exactly. I researched all the pros and cons and everything about this diet before I did it. It does need some planning and scheduling but so far it has been well worth it for me.
I have never been successful in losing weight on pills or strict diets I always seem to give up easily and put it back on again quickly.
I will see how this goes but so far it has been the best.

kathleensteiner,
600 calories per day is horrible!!! You are going to ruin your body! I am a Health science major and it terrifies me that you are doing this. Even 900 calories per day is dangerous. Do you exercise? You are putting yourself in major risk of developing many health problems, especially since you are talking a diet pill. Please consider this and find a different doctor.

Phentermin also known as Ionamin, Fastin, Adipex and its cousin Bontril are VERY DANGEROUS DRUGS. I am a Pharmacist and from experience these drugs can cause increased blood pressure, heart palpatations, nervousness, and sleeplessness. If you have high blood pressure you can STROKE out on these drugs or suffer kidney damage. Since they can be addicting, they should not be used for more then 30 days if at all. A better approach is to limit sugar and fat intake and exercise

Calories, Calories, Calories! Stay under the maximum amount needed to lose the weight and you WILL lose!! Doesn't matter if the calories are sugar, protein, or carb! Of course, you will maximum your weight loss and the health benefits if you balance these and exercise. It's that simple. Now send me your $50 - just kidding; that's a freebie.

I have taken adipex as pres. by by Dr. for a few years on and off. About 2 years ago I took them and they gave a little present... it was not weight loss but the nastiest migrane from hell. I stopped taking them for a while and no more migrane. Tried adipex again and in few days BAM another crippling migrane. I will never take the pill again.

Be careful ordering phentermine or any other diet pill online. Once they get your information if you use a credit card or ATM card they keep calling you and asking you to refill. Then they get your 3 digit code from your cc to confirm. I was ripped over for over $1500.00 before I realized they were making deductions through my atm card through my checking account. Beware. Most of them are foreign pharmacies and once they get your information you are doomed!

While I would agree that diet supplements have some impact on temporary weight loss, it is very clear that they as a group are not effective for sustained weight loss and may even be hazardous due to unknown quality controls and contents. There is only one way to lose weight and keep it off and that is calorie control with a regular exercise regimen that includes cardiovascular workouts to increase metabolic activity. Unfortunately the quantity of calories in our world of processed food is very high and the effort required to burn those calories discourages most from sustaining a weight loss program successfully. The bottom line is you can spend a lot of money and get the placebo effect of the patent herbal junk or you can be realistic and follow a supervised and proven program of calorie reduction with increased exercise. I have looked at most of them such as Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, Scarsdale, South Beach, etc. They all have one thing in common - diet control. Quit wasting your money on these scammers who's only concern is to take your money. If you read the directions of most of these so-called herbal diet products they emphasize a dietary control and an exercise program - ask yourself, "Does this make sense?". Also, note that these products have another disclaimer, the FDA has not approved or evaluated these products for efficacy, in other words there is no proof they do what they claim to do. If you believe that these products work, it is your body and your pocketbook so go ahead and waste your time and money and expose yourself to risky products and make these crooks rich. They are laughing at you - all the way to the bank. Stick to the diet and exercise and you will not only lose weight but keep it off. BTW, I think the Tv show The Biggest Loser, is a fine example of quality programming and reflects accurate and motivating advice. Just look at the people who have been on the program and stuck with it - they keep the weight off - proof enough for me.
