m and I have a pair. By the end of the season I was feeling like I had gone a bit out of control with all of my boot purchases. But there are just so many kinds! So I have gone boot free for about 6 months now, and I must say that I am pretty excited that it is almost time to bring them back. I was walking through the Nordstrom shoe section the other day and there are some really hot boots out right now. All of these factors combined must mean that it is time for me to revamp my boot wardrobe.
Let's take a look at the top searches boots on AOL Search. Maybe this list can aide me while shopping? It seems that the boots that people are searching for really run the gamut of boot searches. Ugg boots come in on top ... I actually do not own a pair of Uggs, but have almost bought them multiple times. Maybe this is the year? We also see Frye boots and Timberland boots make the list. I do not think that I will be purchasing any cowboy boots this year ... but who knows?
Is your favorite boot on our list? Maybe you can find it on AOL Shopping or try searching for boots on AOL Search

In my world there is only one kind of boot....Caterpillar. I wear mine to work 6-7 days a week 52 weeks a year. They are almost 2 years old and they are comfortable enough to fall asleep on the couch with. Kudos to Cat.

This got my attention because I hosted a "Fun Monday" at my blog and the theme was shoes. Boots were a staple among the dozens of people who posted--from cowboy boots to stilettos, Uggs to concept shoes, boots ruled!

I have worn different types of combat boots for over 15 years now, but i found one particular boot that is amazing: the Corcoran jump boot. They are expensive (around $120), but they are worth the price and they are GREAT boots. They have to be broken in, which takes awhile, and during the break in process they do give you blisters, but once you do break them in they are the MOST comfortable boots i have ever worn. You can walk miles at a time in them, you can go anywhere, and they are more comfortable than tennis shoes (in my opinion). I have had my pair for about 6 years (at $120, that's $20 a year, can't beat it). They can be resoled, and as long as you keep the leather in good conditon, they will last a lifetime. Again, i have walked MILES at a time in these boots, and i have worn them every day for the past 6 years, and they are SO comfortable, and they just keep on going. I highly recommend this boot. A GREAT quality, but you do have to get them broken in before they are as comfortable as i mentioned.

Great boots are the must have for fall , and the internet makes a great place to find the most fashionable boots at the lowest price. I buy lots of my boots online from sites like http://heelsandsteals.com and amazon, both great places to get good deals on shoes and boots.

Our Costco store has boots which look just like Ugg boots. What's the difference, besides the name?

I wear some simple short boots that are closest to the 'desert boots' of the late 60's and 70's. I buy them at Walmart (so this is not PC enough ...)and pay $17.97. They are split cowhide, tan in colour and have a lug sole that is somewhat 'sticky', as I climb on roofs and such, for a living. Being rather porous, they breathe good, I wear them summer, winter and even in 1 - 4" snows, with and extra pair of socks. They last about 9-12 months, which is good for me, because I can wear out a pair of $100 ones in 1 1/2 yrs.

Rocky boots used to be a quality boot. That is no longer the case. The soles don't last but a couple of years and they disintegrate. Find another boot and don't waste your money.

I am a crane operator and I have tried many different brands of boots. The most comfortable boots that I have ever had on my feet is my Danner boots. I wear them every day and I prefer them to tennis shoes.

I have to admit that I would be considered over the hill by a lot of women, thank god for those who don't, but I think that boots of any kind are rather ugly on a woman. In fact, I think that boots are rather ugly on anybody unless they are work boots or hunting boots. Then you should be at work or hunting if you have them on.

I certainly agree with Keith, Danner is the only boot for all occasssions. I wear my Danner's in the winter, while backpacking or hiking mountain trails, & especially when conditions are wet because they are water-proof. I own a landscape company & wear them a lot just because they are comfortable. They cost me about $200 & never fall apart, they just wear out. I had my last pair for seven years until replacing.

Ditto on the Red Wing boots. They are made in Minnesota. They are the best. I have had a pair that lasted for 10 years and I'm buying a new pair ----they are still good---I just want a new pair...LOL. There's something about them that makes them breathe properly, too; your feet stay cool indoors but warm outdoors in the winter. Some models are dressier too so while they are waterproof, they look good for going out at night and serve for more than just work or hiking.
Red Wing was one of my clients for awhile and they are really decent people to to do business with as well. They worry about things like how do we still produce a top quality product while keeping our prices in-line and still pay our AMERICAN workers a good living.

I see there isn't any body talking about the Danner Boots. Atleast 70% of there Boots are made in the U.S.A. Not China. The Danner Acadia is the most comfortable boot that I ever wore. They feel like bedroom slippers. I can wear mine from 5:00 am to midnight when I go to bed. They're REALLY COOL BOOTS. You can really stomp someones face in real good too or even kick their teeth out with one kick.

I have sold shoes and boots my entire 30 year career. Here you go
Work-boots.
For lasting boots expect to pay $200-450
Wesco,Whites and Nicks.
All rebuild-able custom made for to your foot. They are a once in a lifetime purchase. Both the sole and tops are completely rebuild-able.
Red Wing boots are the next best thing. some like them even better since they are made of thicker leather. These can be repaired, resoled yet not rebuilt.
After that they are all standard like made boots.
Dunham, Danner,Cat timberland, Rocky, wolverine, Chippewa, Carolina etc.
All ok, but you need a new pr every year.
Western boots have come a long way
Lucchese was and still is the place to go for custom made.
Then the big names like Tony lama, Justin, Dan post and many more.
The secrete is that the best hand made western boots are made by smaller company's that are sold at half the cost of big names. Blackjack boots Rio of Mercedes and a few others found right on ebay.
the ladies comfy boots dept is a much harder category. easier then picking the best, just avoid the worst.. Remember that even big designers buy factory made over seas items and stick their labels on them. Try to buy shoes and boots made in Canada and Mexico and of course the US. items made in Asia and India are all short on quality.
For a deal, Ebay, Costco and Marshalls will always pay off better then buying poorly made stuff from walmart and target.
For winter boots.
its better to buy a pr of hunting boots with rubberized foot area then anything else if your in lots of wet. The timbertland sub zero has dropped from $300+ to $99 this year and its insulated with gortex and lasts and lasts. I have had the same pr for 9 years and still have no reason to get another.
Western boots.
You have many choices for quality boots.
The top of the line customs are

It's all about Z-coils for work. These boots may not be the best looking boots but the coil in the heel will take all strain and pain from your feet, legs and back!! Z-coils look them up!
