Ah, the Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast - a staple of my college years. There's nothing better than a plate of bacon, eggs and pancakes to help you get over a break-up or a celebrate finishing an exam, and it fits within a student budget.

Today, there's another good reason to head over to Denny's: you can get a free Grand Slam Breakfast as part of its Super Bowl Instant Replay promotion! It was an historic game day Sunday as the New Orleans Saints not only played in but won the first Super Bowl in franchise history. It also marked what many saw as a new beginning for a city that is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. After the game, Saints quarterback Drew Brees dedicated the win to The Big Easy.

The game was definitely exciting – always a nice perk for a contest whose commercials often outshine the game play – but that doesn't mean it was the only thing viewers tuned in to watch. The Who performed at half-time and the ad theme of the year seemed to be men without pants. Did you watch the Super Bowl? What did you think about the show?

We must be getting close to Valentine's Day because Avatar was finally knocked off its box office throne...by a romantic tear-jerker called 'Dear John'. The movie follows the ill-fated love of a young soldier and his college girlfriend. While critics have been lukewarm at best on this movie, throngs of women flocked to see it this weekend.
